CC will be in the rotation and Nova will be the long guy now that I think about it.

I love it. Big believer of a shutdown bullpen. Everyone thinks closers are overrated and overpaid. I'll take 3 ridiculous ones in one bullpen all day every day.

Going into the offseason I definitely thought relievers were undervalued. Then Giles got a ridiculous package, Axford got $10m, Madson got $25m, Soria $22m, and so on. So who knows. Maybe it's just elite relievers undervalued.

I don't quite understand what's going on with this Reds rebuild. Fans of any rebuilding team, be glad that you don't have to deal with having Walt Jocketty at the helm.

          That Yankees bullpen though.. Wow

Jagielo should contribute soon, at least.

It's gross thinking about it that the Yankees could benefit from his suspension with the added year of eligibility. That's wrong in so many ways.

Rumors are his suspension will be in the 10-25 games range.

I don't really buy that. Suspended 10 games for domestic violence? That doesn't send the best message lol. I think it'll be upwards of 30-40 or none at all.

It will be one game under the threshold where Chapman gets to stay a Yankee for an extra year.

The way I see it, Reyes is the guy that's going to get nailed on the cross. He was arrested, he has been charged, his mugshot is out (this thing matter for PR/media purposes). Wouldn't surprise me if he got suspended for half a season, even more depending on how the case gets resolved in the end. He is the one that MLB will hold up as an example to the onlooking public.

Chapman, it seems, won't be charged. He hasn't been arrested. Investigation is still technically "open"...open until enough time has passed that it is safe to close it without much fanfare. He'll still get suspended for the discharging of the weapon.

Puig is the one that might not get suspended at all.

Orioles and White Sox a "clear" frontrunners for Cespedes according to reports.

I might make Chapman a starter if I'm New York. Just.. that pitching staff, jeez.
Wasn't he a starter early in his career?
I wonder if he can be converted back? I know the Reds felt he didn't have the stamina or mindset to make it as a starter. But maybe he's matured to the point where he could make his way back to a starter?

The starter ship has sailed, he is what he is, a dominant reliever, no need to tinker with that. Just like Papelbon before him and Trevor Rosenthal after him.

Surely the Yanks won't be that stupid after what they did to Joba.

More importantly...is it true that if Chapman is suspended for a good length of days, his service time decreases enough so where NYY gets him for another year? If so, that's extremely...uh...shrewd.
