Only showing below direct quotes from Coppolella.
Frankly, that seems over sensitive. I agree with his overall message, but being a GM comes with criticism and he better get used to it,

I also don't agree with his two trades he mentions...two very different scenarios than the Braves. Greinke was going to be a FA and made it clear he wouldn't re-sign and wanted out. The Dickey trade was immediately panned for Toronto and everyone knew the Mets had fleeced them. Multiple prospects for a near 40 year old pitcher...who wouldn't do that?

Your first statement is exactly how I felt...I immediately thought:

"Shut up...you wouldn't last a day in NY".

To be fair, the criticism is justified as the moves he's making seem contradictory to the message he's sending. Is he loading up on talent or trying to get younger? Is the goal to have a loaded farm system or shed payroll/players to buy us some years when we can be playoff ready?

To be cynical, Lord knows Freddie doesn't know how to manage anything this GM puts on the field so...doesn't really matter, I say.

Resuming baseball activities 16-20 weeks, so still 4-5 months.

                Detroit badly needed bullpen help.

Really hope the Mariners get a legit closer. Don't want Benoit or Smith out there in the ninth.

#BlueJays, #Dodgers, #Yankees among the teams to have at least preliminary trade talks with #Indians, sources say. (1/2)

For each of 3 teams mentioned, #Indians would obtain everyday OF and part with a starting pitcher. Many scenarios in play for CLE. (2/2)

Jays had previously offered Norris,Hoffman,Pompey for Carrasco. Maybe they'd revisit some sort of deal like that, obviously with someone else besides Norris/Hoffman since they're gone.

I said before that Jays should look into acquiring him again, since Shapiro knows exactly what Cleveland was looking for from the Jays for Carrasco. Don't suppose Cleveland would also be willing to deal one of Shaw,McAllister or Allen?

Stroman,Estrada,Carrasco as top 3 in rotation, that's not bad at all. And that still leaves Jays room to go out and get a 15-20M starter in free agency if they want since Carrasco is real cheap long term contract.
