Nope...sounds like the trade still centers on Soler.

This is what happens when you're the Marlins. The news about Fernandez's behavior and the fact that the Marlins always seem to give up on their top stars before the big money comes rolling in makes it easy for other GMs to act like he's available.

If the Marlins keep Fernandez i'll have a sliver of respect for that franchise and the GM for sticking to his word.

            Same with Alex Gordon.
I think Castellanos fits better as a LF in the long run.
He's fine at 3B, but he's not exactly Cal Ripkin either.

It appears both Baez and Soler are still the focus of discussions.

No indication on which one the Braves prefer. I would think Baez.

Astros are making a push to acquire Jose Fernandez.

We all know Mike Hill said he isn't available, but the Astros have assets they can give up.

                        Mock proposal by Jon Heyman.

Marlins - LHP Eduardo Rodriguez, RHP Anderson Espinoza, 2BYoan Moncada, 3B Rafael Devers

Red Sox - RHP Jose Fernandez

Think I'll pass on that, lol.

I saw a bunch of mock proposals on MLB Tonight and most of them were just stupid...it made me wonder how these guys get paid to do this.

If they have to give up Soler or Baez, I'd prefer Carrasco.

Either way, it's a lot of potential to give up.

Arrietta, Lester, Lackey, Hendricks...isn't a bad 1-4. It isn't elite, but it's not too far off.

I'd rather have a plus bullpen arm and a High-OBP OFer.

Ride with what they have until July, then decide between Soler, Baez, Castro who should be traded for second half reinforcements.

Report: Yankees willing to deal Luis Severino to the Marlins for Jose Fernandez.

Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports that the Yankees were willing to part with Luis Severino as part of a package for Marlins right-hander Jose Fernandez.
