Even if the Cubs sweep this series (which seems really one sided), it has been a really entertaining series across the board.

Julio Teheran has been pitching really, really well, but he drives me crazy with his inability to put guys away. He consistently gets ahead 0-2, but then he can't put them away and ends up 2-2/3-2 which drives his pitch count up.

On another note, he leads all of baseball with his bullpen blowing 9 games in which he left late with the lead since the start of last year.

He's only played 25 games. I'll worry if he's still sucking at about the halfway mark.

True...but David Price is off to a slow start and Boston media/fans are restless. It just goes with the territory of signing a huge contract...I know he won't hit like this all year, but it's crazy how bad he's been so far without any grief yet (he's actually posted a NEGATIVE WAR this year).

Cubs are first NL team to start 23-6 since the 1977 Dodgers.

And first team to outscore their opponents by 100 runs through 29 games since the 1902 Pirates.

How do you know he won't hit like this all year? St. Louis got a lucky year out of him. I doubt he'll ever match those numbers again. He has too many weakness at the plate.

It happened here last year with Lester too. He started off similarly to Price but ended up with a pretty good year. Price is too good to just be this bad all year.

Bartolo Colon hit a homerun today.

Let me repeat that so it sinks in.

I still want the DH even after seeing that.

I don't know if I've said this enough...but I hate Erick Aybar as a player. He is absolutely a garbage defensive short stop and he's hitting like a pitcher. I can't believe how bad he is defensively...I haven't ever really noticed him being this poor in Anaheim/LA, but there is no way they could put up with this trash for the last 10 years.
