Jays also got the Buccos' 9th best prospect Harold Ramirez. Anyone have any info on him?

Impressive how the Yankees went from a bottom 10 system to probably #1 system now.

Brewers are in the conversion on #1 system as well.

And they did it by trading a free agent they gave nothing for this last offseason who may very well sign back this coming offseason, a guy who is a free agent after this year and may even retire, and a great reliever who didn't have to get packaged with a bad contract just to take that bad contract off their hands. And they still get to have Betances, Clippard, Warren, and Severino in the bullpen. That's what good management gets you. And that's the way to do things.

Yankees have 8 prospects in the top 100, as do the Brewers now.

Bottom 10? They were ranked 10-15 in every list I saw post-draft this year...I'm pretty sure neither they nor the Brewers will be #1, but will both be top 5.

                        1) The are really trying to get out of Liriano's $13.67M salary next season.

                        2) They must really like Hutchison in the NL as the next Ray Searage reclamation project.

                        3) They must not like Ramirez and McGuire all that much.

                        4) ?!????!

It's a bit of a head-scratcher even with all of those points.

Apparently Blue Jays are paying all of Liriano's contract and getting Ramirez/McGuire was the only way they were willing to do that.

Basically they're replacing Dickey with Liriano next year.

Sanchez,Stroman,Estrada,Happ,Liriano as rotation next year is nice. That's not even 50m combined I believe for a top 5 rotation in the AL.

And bonus for Jays, batters have hit .215 with .604ops vs Liriano when Martin is behind the plate.

Puig is taking his ball and going home, apparently. Not joining the team on the trip to Colorado.

And so it begins. He got upset and stormed off after he came to the ballpark and management told him he's either going to be traded or sent to the minors.
