The sad thing is they won't even be able to punish him. I don't know the specifics of the penalties for steroid use but I believe its nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

btw... Giambi hit 2 HR's in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS.

There's gonna be something on 20/20 on Friday night where supposedly Conte' (I believe that's his name) is gonna reveal other athletes that were clients of his as well.

When it's all said and done I'm sure there will be several players exposed, and unless you're hiding under a rock you can probably take a good guess as to some guys that will be on that list.

Yep Jistic, You can add your Sosa to the list, and throw in Bonds,Kapler,Gagne,Boone,,etc...Baseball's goin' to hell, and i wonder if "Roids" will be an added feature to this year's titles comin' out ie in MVP,ESPN, and MLB?? 'is is just sad!

Giambi should've told the truth in the beginning but he's now dug himself a hole.

He did. He admitted it to a grand jury when he was officially questioned about it.

Of course, he lied to everyone afterwards, but that's likely because the information he revealed in court was to be kept secret. He was probably also advised by his lawyer to deny the truth because of the questions he'd be asked. It's a bigger felony to reveal court information and to answer questions against the court's decision (which is something he'd have to do if he admitted to using steroids to us).

Right now, George Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman are jumping for joy because they might finally have a way of getting out from under Giambi's contract. Don't be surprised if they use this to try and terminate the rest of Giambi's contract, especially if he has another bad year in '05.

The MLBPA would never allow it because the steroid policy did not apply before the 2004 season. Even if it was, they would still never allow a team to void a players contract because of steroid use.
