Obviously steroids don't automatically make you a great hitter as Jeremy Giambi has proven. They do however give hitters an advantage because they can hit the ball harder. There's not denying the fact that added strength supplies an unfair advantage in baseball or any major sport.

some of you guys are funny, Bonds is so guilty even without ever saying it. I hate Bonds with a passion, the last five years he records mean nothing to me at all. What a loser. At least Giambi is man enough to admit it.

And of course you know this, how? How is he so guilty? Who are you to judge someone's innoncence or guilt and hate a guy you don't even know?

He only admitted it under oath to avoid be charged with perjury. If he wasn't called in before a grand jury I'm sure he would still be denying it.

The only way steroids contributed to Cammy's death was what it did to him mentally. Caminiti said that he took way more than the "recommended" allowance of steroids when he was playing. That is what will lead to health problems quicker, although he only used heavily for a short period of time.

If what Giambi is saying is true and that he only did steroids for three seasons, then I don't think it will affect his health too much in the long run. Although his petuitary gland cancer may be an indicator that his body chemistry doesn't tolerate steroids as well as others. I know a guy that did steroids from the age of 14-21 and the only permanent side effect he is suffering from (at 37 years old) is impotentcy.
