Like I said, this Braves team will be battling for 4th place in a couple of months.

Today was as frustrating as it gets, but there is nothing to really take away from 1 game played in incredible elements.

Lots of encouraging signs from the offense. Ozzie is legit with both bat and glove, Dansby has has looked really good, and as bad as the bullpen it's improbable that we'll see another day where they go almost 1:1 balls to strikes over nearly 100 pitches of work.

The Braves aren't as bad as they looked today after being up 10-2, but I just don't see the talent you all see to think they will be competing. The pitching is not good, Teheran is our ace, nothing more needs to be said. Our bullpen is not good, today they were worse than usual, but it's a a pen full of guys who lack great stuff or great command. Outside of Freeman and Albies I don't see much on this team I expect to be consistently good.

Don't forget Ender. Slow start to the season, but there is no reason to believe he won't be his usual .290-.300 self. Add in quality hitters like Markakis and Suzuki/Flowers and we should again see a pretty good offense that could be really good if Dansby's hot start isn't a fluke and if Acuna is anything like he is expected to be.

I don't think they're necessarily competing for anything this year, but they have a good shot at hanging around until late in the season.

Yesterday's game sucked, but let's not overreact. Just like if the Braves had held on and won 10-5, I wouldn't be saying "ya, print playoff tickets". These things happen.

This isn't the first time I've watched my Braves do something like this. I remember this game like it was yesterday; it made me so angry then, but in the grand scheme of a 162 game season it was one game (and it was a HOF'r on the mound to boot!):

Jays VS Cleveland postponed on Jackie Robinson day.

Yesterday's was too. Such a rare thing for jays since only road games can be postponed, and even then, some opponents got roofs too.

Can't remember last time I've seen them have to play multiple makeup games. What's weirder is that it's a doubleheader in between 2 different series.

Braves get an extra day to recover from...whatever that was yesterday. Braves-Cubs postponed, makeup on May 14.
