      That totally sucks about Seager

So uh, I know he's done this before but I really hope this year is the year it clicks for him but Kevin Pillar is looking DEADLY with the bat.

If he can keep that up all year long that would be great.

Football loses players, but there are so many "interchangeable" players. Football has done so much to protect skill position players that you don't see QB/RB/WR's getting knocked out at the rate baseball pitchers go out.

If you want to start adding addendums, then I suppose. But last year was all about injuries to star players in football.

Also, I can't stand Sutcliffe and Eduardo. They are both awful in the booth. Stupid blackout keeping me from listening to Len and JD.
Sutcliffe is an especially difficult listen. Very little analysis with Sut and his inflections are always like he thinks he's dropping The Knowledge on those lucky enough to be tuned in. With Perez, just his voice alone drives me up a wall. Perez rarely says anything worth hearing either.

Makes me yearn for the Vasgersian/A-Roid/Mendoza trio from last night. Or just Len and JD dammit. Friggin blackout B.S.

I give Rizzo until May 15th to get hot. Otherwise Efren Navarro has to get in there. Or trade for Pujols I guess.

Seager injury hurts the Dodgers for sure, however Justin Turner is the engine that drives that offense. They will be better when he returns.

Rumors circling around Twitter is the Dodgers making a move on Manny Machado to fill the Seager hole. I don't see Friedman giving up a ton of prospects for what is essentially a one year rental, but we'll see.

By the way, Rizzo's BABIP is .182 so I think he's primed for some serious regression to career norms. It's not like he's striking out a ton more than usual. Just weaker contact and some bad luck. His contact rate is actually a tick higher this season than last.

Stripling threw one too many inside fastballs to Pollock.

Obviously he is pressing. They should give him a few days off...let him watch some film of his swing with his batting coach and he probably just needs to make a tweak/small adjustment.

Baseball is a grind. And when you go through a cold spell you start thinking, pressing etc. Weak contact is troublesome. If you told me he was hitting missiles but finding leather....no worries. But weak contact is troublesome. He will have to work it out. And he probably will. He is a hell of a player. And all the great ones do go through things like this.

In the 105 years it's been tracked there had been just one team to ever have 2 starters with a sub-2.00 ERA and 35+ Ks through 5 starts. This year, the Astros had 3.

Also, Gerrit Cole set an all-time record with 61 Ks in April surpassing Roger Clemens' 60 in 1988.

As if the Dodgers didn't have enough problems, I just noticed that 5 WAR Chris Taylor seems to have left the building. Looks like he's back to being AAAA player Chris Taylor. He was an "x-factor" for them last year and isn't doing anything at all this season.

Josh Hader became the first player to record a save of 8 outs or more with all strikeouts

2.2 innings. 8 strikeouts. That is bad ***.
