Freddie's home run had a virtual hang time of about seven seconds. Wow, I wonder what the elevation angle was of that ball, maybe close to 40 degrees!

I'm disappointed...I expected a full diagram with the math calculations to give me a precise launch angle. Come on, Blzr...you're OS's stat cast; don't slack on me now!

If they give me the initial exit velocity and/or home run distance, I can actually calculate an approximate elevation angle for you.

Man...Vizcaino just makes it too interesting. I was completely expecting him to blow Soroka's win. Great game though...I'll take it!

Freddie continues to smash...I was so worried when his wrist was hit a few weeks back, I'm glad there is no lingering issues.

Now, time for Acuna to be in the lineup on Friday when I go to the game.

Unfortunately finances will dictate that Monty go back to the pen while Darvish and Chatwood continue to stink it up in the rotation. Although, at this point I wouldn't be surprised to see news that Darvish is out for the season as this lingers more and more. It only takes a blister to get it started...

Joe stashing Steve Cishek in LF while Duensing pitches the 8th.

Check that - Duensing pitches to one batter, and Cishek heads back to the mound and Duensing to LF.

Duensing in to pitch one more time and Contreras (non-starter today) takes left, ending this little cycle of baseball oddities. The ball finds Contreras immediately for the last out of the 8th.

Lorenzo MVP of the series and that mediocre pitching holding the hot Cubs scoreless over 18 innings deserves runner up. Bah, Chacin has been one of the consistent pitchers in the rotation with Anderson and Nelson recovering from injuries.

Looks like Hatorade has his mojo back. I think that guy needs the ball every other day to be effective and consistent. Before the opener with the Cubbies, he didn't have the ball in hands since last Wednesday.
