I'm guessing the large "2" in the infield dirt behind 2nd base at Busch Stadium is a tribute to Red Schoendienst?

Everyone in my section was unhappy with the call at home, but for once replay got it right... Unfortunately

          Why was Andy Green ejected?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Kris Bryant goes over the fence for the first time in a long time. Camera work on this ABC7 feed is suspect...

I don't know if it's a bad sign or nothing that Bryant hasn't hit a HR to CF or RF this year.

Cards are playing extremely sloppy tonight.

I hadn't realized that until you mentioned it. But, his HR chart is all pulled right down the line almost--nothing even to LCF really.

Also worth mentioning, he's getting 5% fewer fastballs than last year and his pull% has risen accordingly. He's being pull-shifted on 50% of his ABs, up from 33% in previous years. Most of his peripherals (BABIP, K%, BB%) are right where you'd expect them to be.

They were talking about it on the MLBN broadcast, that's the only reason I know. They mentioned something before the game about him trying to pull the ball more, but I didn't catch the full story so I don't know why he would want to.

Joe West rung up Albies on strike three on a check swing, then decided nevermind without an explanation so Andy Green went out there.

The Braves are in a tight division race for the first time in five years, so of course they go 2-4 against the Padres.

It will never just be easy for this club.

Arrieta needs to keep his ****ing mouth shut the rest of the season until he starts throwing all shut outs!
