To give the Reds credit, they've played a LOT better since they canned Bryan Price.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

They have...they were better than they played under Price. I don't mind getting beat, but it bothers me when you give things to a team. Tonight the Reds scored 5 times and 3 of those runs were runners who reached base via a walk. The walks are killing us!

Schwarber thinking he's Maury Wills...reaches on a bunt single and tries to steal a base.

Nice to see the Cubs offense is sputtering so badly that we're depending on Kyle Schwarber bunt hits and stolen base attempts. And of course, the Cubs follow up Schwarber getting thrown out at second with a BB and a single that would've scored a run...

Zero runs. 6 LOB thru 4 innings. Out-hitting the Dodgers 6-1 and losing. Yawn.

They have played better, but if you want to be a good team you don't fail to win series against the Reds(potentially 2x), Padres, and Orioles. That's just wasting any good stretches of baseball you played. Good teams use these types of series to insure themselves. The Braves have done everything in their power to make sure they don't play too well at any point.

Sometimes I think the Braves could win the Series and you'd say "ya, but they didn't sweep".

I am disappointed they only won the series once when they won 14 straight division titles.

Seriously, though, how can you not be disappointed in this team's failure to beat up on the bad teams? It will more than likely come back to bite them. A huge reason the Nats have stayed in the division race is because they were able to catch fire and win 10 in a row or 9 of 10, whatever it was, when they played the Orioles, Padres, Dodgers(when they were bad), etc. If the Braves had beat up on these teams like the Nats did then they would have gotten themselves some breathing room. Instead they are shooting themselves in the foot with the way they've played against the worst of the worst.

Puig has to be the most frustrating player to have on the team you cheer for..

Now if we could just get Puig to drop a ball in each game, I like the Cubs chances.

Someone took Chili Davis' hitters-only meeting to heart. Javy's been on everything tonight.

I can't say I really get LA keeping a LHP out there to face him or them throwing a fastball middle middle.

Was Lester really done after 5 IP and 82 pitches?
