I really do hope that Boston and NYY meet in the post season. Would be a great series, and I hate to say it, but baseball might be better when the 'Evil Empire' is good....

I guess Montgomery was bound for a bad start sooner or later. Hopefully he gets it all out of his system here. Not ideal weather to be carrying a high pitch count either.

Also noticed that (1) Joe Mauer is still alive and (2) the Twins seem weird without Buxton and Sano

Mauer had 1 XBH in 46 ABs vs a LHP he has 2 Today! Cubs really need to get a backup catcher. Gimenez is spectacularly awful. they probably score at least a run if he gets that bunt down.

Yankees and Astros are a toss up. Houston has the better rotation. Yankees have the better bullpen. Both have stout lineups. Yankees will likely add another arm. Definitely not counting out Boston. But I like my team.

Astros and Redsox are both playing out of their minds right now though. All three teams are extremely good. Possibly historically good.

Cleveland is still good. But they didn't improve in the off-season like those three. Seattle could absolutely spoil somebody's season. Paxton and that lineup would be a tough one game matchup.

Schwarber got that one. My goodness. On top of the camera well/batter's eye in CF.

Julio walks the first two batters of the game...great way to start the game. I have zero confidence in Julio at this point; at least he used to be reliable on the road, but his game is so bad right now.

A Sox-Yankees game started by CC Sabathia lasted less than 3 hours.

Looks like he straightened the ship.

I say trade him now that he's had a good game.

Matt Davidson came in to pitch for the White Sox in a blowout and was throwing what looked like a pretty nasty knuckleball

The key to beating the Braves is being last place in your division. The Cardinals need to understand that.
