Great news regarding Ohtani. MRI shows improvement. He's being cleared to start batting practice and to hit.

For the first time ever, Boston has swept a season series of at least 6 games.

They outscored Mike Trout and the Angels 49-6.

He certainly didn't get struck out by Kimbrel with a man on base to end the game.

What's up with the 4 PM start today? I could kinda see that if the Cubs were still on the west coast (though it'd still be weird), but at Wrigley?

Yankees-Red Sox series kicking off this evening in the Bronx. Could this be an ALDS or ALCS preview?

Maybe they ran out of their allotment of night games? 4:05 is probably still considered a "day game." 1:20 would've been tough considering the escape from LA.

Could be an ALDS, but I don't believe it will be an ALCS preview.

I still really like the Astros to be playing to represent the AL in the World Series.

Or it might not be a preview of anything. There's a very real possibility one of these two teams might lose the Wild Card game (it's not likely but we've seen crazy crap happen)

I agree that Houston is the strongest team in the AL and probably in MLB. But, I'm not sure how much I trust their starting pitching to keep doing what they've been doing in a short playoff series. I think they would be in a dogfight against either Boston or New York in a best-of-5 series.

Could be. I feel like both AL East teams are head and shoulders above whatever the 2nd wild card team is going to be. Although I doubt anyone wants to play Seattle in a 1 game, winner-take-all scenario. Assuming Seattle is sustainable. Houston should win the AL West. Cleveland should win the AL Central. Boston or New York will win the AL East. So, really, what's the 2nd wild card team gonna be? That's the only uncertainty.

I don’t think they will easily walk to the ALCS but I’ll take their staff and lineup(if healthy) over any of the other 4 (Boston, Yanks, Tribe, M’s?) at this point in time.

I really think there is a tremendous possibility that the Astros repeat.

Have to see what teams look like after trade deadline.

Come on Comcast Sports Net, you guys can get the opposing pitcher's name spelled correctly.
