I don't mind so much when Jansen's cutter makes someone look silly like he just did to Kyle Schwarber there. The point I look to is when backup catcher Chris Gimenez wasn't able to get a sac bunt down with 1st and 2nd and nobody out in the 5th. And then Addy and Albert both trying their hardest to GIDP in the 8th.

That makes 5 losses in a row for a depleted Cubs team. Somewhat surprising that the Cubs are close to 1st place given how bad/lethargic they've looked.

Michael Wacha to the 10 Day DL. Not expected back until after the All-Star break.

Really looking forward to tonight Jays/Astros game as Ryan Borucki is supposed to make his MLB pitching debut against the 'Stros.

Rays have 3 shutouts in their last 4 games, against the Nats and Yankees. Pretty sure I heard on the broadcast that since switching to "the opener" they have the best ERA in baseball as well. Decent.

Genuinely shocked how competitive this team has proven to be, they've done incredibly well. Just a shame that they're in such a tough division

Kris Bryant to the 10-day DL. This oughta give Joltin' Joe Maddon more ammo about how "swinging is bad" for baseball players.

That the Cubs "recalled RHPs Luke Farrell and Dillon Maples and INF David Bote from Triple-A" doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence in this team catching fire any time soon.

That's one of the more depressing transaction lines for the Cubs in recent years

Since May 17 the Dodgers have the best record in baseball at 26-9. Hopefully that continues this evening.

Cubbies picking up where they left off...leaving runners on 2nd and 3rd in the first inning. Heyward, Rizzo, and Contreras all go down swinging at flecks of dirt.

After two innings it feels like it’s going to be another one of those “scoring a run feels like a life’s work” type of game.

This year's Braves' pen has been the worst I can remember at walking people...even when we sucked, we didn't walk people like we have this year.

Stat of the day. There are 7 players with 20 or more homeruns................none of those players are in the NL.

The Braves make it too hard on themselves. Can't beat bad teams consistently at all.
