CC with one of the most expensive ejections in baseball.

He hit a batter in retaliation of Rays throwing an inside pitch to the Yankees who did so because CC hit ta batter before that. Yankees were up 11-0 when CC was ejected.

By being ejected, he finishes his regular season 2 innings shy of a 500k bonus.

If he wants to make it up to Romine(who was the one almost hit), buy him a new car or something lol, don't throw away 500k.

      Poor Baltimore.

Final 10 games were vs the Yankees, Red Sox, and Astros.

Could have been a lot more expensive for the team, to get into a hit by pitch contest or a mass brawl a week before the playoffs, in a game that you're winning by about 10. Got to love that veteran intelligence. Luckily for him no one got hurt

on a separate note, great to see David Dahl back in full swing. When he first came up 2 years ago he looked about as promising as a rookie can look, potential 30/30 type hitter.

I watched some of the Phillies/Rockies game. Yep, that Philly team has totally checked out. I've said it before, even if they reload and pick up big free agents in the offseason i'm not too sure what to make of the Phils. Kapler might be the author of his undoing. The guy seems way too much of a micromanager and unorthodox for his own good.

If they start off slow next season I could easily see him on the hot seat.

He's an awful manager. Plain and simple.

I honestly think the Phils were the most complete team in the division...and he is going to manage them to a 3rd place finish.

If they had a manager that showed an ounce of consistency, these last few weeks would be totally different I think. He overanalyzes EVERYTHING. Just feel how the game is going and use your gut man. Worked just fine for Charlie Manuel.

Cubs finishing off this series with Pittsburgh (while everyone else sits idle) rounds off everything in the Central - no more of those pesky half-games. Either the Cubs are a game up after tonight or there's a tie for the lead.

Lester burning through a lot of pitches tonight. Still in the 4th and here comes pitch #84.

Cubs win again. Offense still sputtering, leaving guys on/making outs on the bases, but the pitching picked them up tonight. I expect Milwaukee to sweep Detroit, so the Cubs will probably need to sweep St. Louis to avoid the 1-game playoff into a 1-game playoff.

Need to either win the division, or finish as the top WC. A tiebreaker game would be the worst outcome with how thin the pitching staff is.
