I feel like Soto will wind up like Stanton.

He'll have some good seasons under his new deal, but it won't be long before his numbers go down and the deal starts looking bad.

IDK, I think it *will* be a long time before his numbers go down.....remember he's only 26! Sure, in the long run his contract could age poorly - years 11-15 might get ugly - but I don't see any reason his numbers are going to immediately decline, and his elite plate discipline really probably sets his offensive "floor" much higher than a lot of other guys

Reports out that Nolan Arenado blocked a potential trade to the Astros.

He gave a list of 6 teams he would go to (Astros not on list) and his agent is talking to teams to negotiate a trade, how in the **** does the need for him to block a trade come about?
