Oh and I have a question, why does opening day in Boston start at 2 PM? Is there some story behind that or just tradition?
For the last few years it has started at 2. I don't know how far back the tradition goes, though.

It's about time schools get out so I don't know if that matters.

Yes, Mohr accepted the demotion to AAA instead of looking to catch on to another major ball club.

Ortiz isn't the greatest looking man in the world (understatement)... But at least he can dress well.

I'm sure, if Acid paid attention to baseball, he'd call him a STUD.

Well I was fortunate enough to have one of the sorest throats of my life this morning, so I won't have to be cutting class for the home opener (which is what happened for the season opener)

I'm stuck at work but will have it on the radio. I can't believe I'm not at this game. I did get tickets to Saturday and Sunday though, so will get to see Beckett then.

Sign up for Red Sox replay. It's $50 for the season but you get access to buy season ticket holders seats at face value.

Toronto will take 2 out of 3. I fully expect a thourough beat down against Towers this afternoon though.

Should be a lot of runs too. The Jays have flat out mashed the ball so far this season...

Yeah, it's worked well for me in the past and they have quite a few tickets available. Pretty much all the home games in April have 20+ offers available. A lot of them are the real expensive seats but I got a pair of bleachers for $40 for Sunday.

Stern will be starting now that Crisp is out

Don't have to worry about Coco

I hope Stern plays so well that he'll have to stick with the big club. I doubt it tho, but if his WBC performance is any indication then he's going to be a big star.

I like Stern but they just don't have any room for him when everybody's healthy. It's not like you can just bench Manny, Crisp or Nixon. I think Nixon will be gone next year and Stern will split time with Wily Mo.
