He used to coach the SC Gamecocks football team.

Timlin in with a runner on. Not good, but he might be able to scrape out of it since he's only on first.

        Timlin getsto K.

Score a couple runs here and we might be able to hop back in it. But Harris has to be pinch hit for if that's going to happen.

Does anyone know of a site that lists position played in the gamelogs for each player?

I'm curious to see collectively the numbers for our CF by committee.

Thanks, I rarely use Yahoo, not a big fan, didn't know they had that.

Guess I didn't explain it right... I know you can go back game by game and see who played where. I was wondering if their was a site that listed the position played when looking at a specific player's game by game stats.

Ok, I was wrong about Harris, that didn't work out at all. Varitek should have been lower in the order (or not in it) as well, him coming up with the bases loaded against Mussina hurt.

However, none of those two things matter much because Schilling had nothing on the mound tonight. No zip on the fastball, missing spots all night long, and the Yankees made him pay. Hopefully the knuckleball is dancing tomorrow as the offense should be able to put up a few against Chacon.

Just got back from work, disappointed with tonight's outcome. Maybe now they'll keep Wily Mo in center when he gets the chance. I don't want to say I told you so, but Willie Harris is not a starter, he's a pinch runner at best. Wily Mo needs at bats and this is the perfect time in the season to get him some, against solid pitching, against the Yankees, and especially with Coco hurt.

Hopefully we can scrape a few runs off one of the 06 Cy-Young candidates tonight. It's going to be tough though. Gotta keep our fingers crossed Wake doesn't serve up any more meatballs.

I liked how on ESPN's day game yesterday with the Cards and Rockies they were discussing pitching matchups in the Sox/Yanks series. They were sure to say how Chacon was off to a great start and Wakefield was struggling. Their ERA's are three points apart.

Wakefields last three starts earned runs allowed 3,3,3

Chacon ,1,1,1. Chacon was terrible his first two starts and has pitched much better.

Point being, Wakefield isn't exactly struggling, he just hasn't gotten the run support to get W's.

Anyway, I love how quickly people jump from bandwagon to bandwagon...

I was watching Cold Pizza on my lunch break and apparently several scouts said that Curt Schilling is turning into the "right-handed Randy Johnson" because he's losing MPH on his fastball, etc.

Two-three weeks ago everyone is raving that he's back to his old Cy Young level. Unreal, stupid media.
