    Re: Anderson Hernandez @ Fiddy

Awww..c'mon...don't tell me you're another Mets fan that's getting a little too carried away here...lmaoooooo

If you're up in T.O., maybe the word has not gotten up there, but Anderson Hernandez is the BEST fielding second baseman in the Mets organization RIGHT NOW! The ONLY thing that Keppinger has on him is his minor league career batting.

Hernandez is a superb fielder. And like Spectra said, the range, arm and athleticism are UNPAPALLELED.

If you saw that outstretched, diving play the other night he made out in short right field, then that's ALL you need to know. NO other Mets' second baseman would have even gloved that ball...much less catch it.

A think that's a little hard to say considering the best 3rd baseman in NY already has 2 MVP's and is considered one of the top 3 best players in baseball. Wright is already good and can get even better which is kinda scary, but will he ever reach A-Rod territory?

Let me know when AROD gets a hit when it counts. For an MVP type player he has to be about the most un-clutch one I have ever seen.

My bad! Saw Toronto.....missed the 'OH'...and thought you were in Canada...lol

You had typed that they (Keppinger & Anderson) were equal in the field.....not in a million years...and the amazing thing is that Anderson, like Reyes is a shortstop first and foremost...he had to REALLY learn second base...and he looks like a nautral in that position

yeah i just noticed that i dod type that, i really meant to say a better fundamental player. but that doest mean kep is a bettter athlete or a better fit than anderson. i bet with him learning etc we will see jeff kep get a shot this year that is if kaz gets traded.

I agree. Arod is the better player now, but if given the choice between Arod and Wright it's a no brainer for me, I'm taking Wright. He's only 23 years old and could hit as well as .320 this year with 30+ home runs. And I think he'll challenge for a gold glove eventually, as well.
