I'm used to it too, but damn it's annoying. The days that the Giants actually put up offense the bullpen blows the lead. The days that the Giants can't score jack, the bullpen actually stabilizes the other teams lead. Can't have it both ways I guess.

It is. Saw his potential the very first game he had as a Giant. I love the way he can score anytime he gets on base.

yeah, for the first 6 innings at least? The Giants will pull him early each and every game that they're up and the bullpen will inevitably blow it and with Bonds out, there's absolutely no chance to comeback. Yes, Bonds is our best hitter bar none, but is he worth another 15m+ next year? Not in my books. Someone that plays 4 or 5 games a week and is pulled early in the games he does play to save him is hurting us as much as it is helping. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed every moment that Bonds has been with us, but when he's taking up that much of the salary.. Then again, what do I know? This is a business and that's all Sabean and the Giants care about. Bonds probably will be re-signed next year for another 15m, probably outbidding themselves like they did with Zito.

Bochy is dumb. He just doesn't understand that you can't pair up Lincecum with Rodriguez. It's no coincidence that the last two times Lincecum has blown up, Rodriguez caught him. This was way back on June 13thand 19th.

Didn't get to see the game, but that's good, cuz otherwise I'd have broken stuff laying around. I only heard the first inning on the car radio before I had to get back to work. Lincecum strikes out the side. Man I thought he was going to have another great outing. Guess not.

To further support the pitcher/catcher emphasis...

Lincecum splits with the following catching -

                    Bengie Molina: 6-0 97.2IP 65H 29ER 101K 42BB 2.67ERA 1.10WHIP
                    Guillermo Rodriguez: 0-3 13.2IP 21H 19ER 20K 9BB 12.52ERA 2.20WHIP

I think the saying 'don't fix what ain't broke' fits here. Not the biggest sample size, but it clearly makes the point. How Bochy and his crew decided it was a good idea to have Rodriguez catch Lincecum again is anyones guess.

I suppose, but Molina had the day off two days before that. Regardless, Bochy is paid millions to think ahead and if he doesn't plan accordingly, bad job on his part. The bottom line is Lincecum is our best shot at winning every 5 days and if the Giants just plan to throw out half assed lineups for him, just shut him down and save him for next year. I'm not a pitcher, but I do know that the pitcher/catcher relationship is one of the most important, specially as for a rookie.

Bonds should be batting third. That is all.

Man Rajai Davis is really establishing himself as a starting outfielder next season.

Bonds is hinting at playing another season. I don't mind, however he needs to take a paycut to help the team out. And he can't play left field just because he's getting to be more and more of a liability due to his running ability. Do you think he can play 1st base? You have to crouch down alot due to pickoff attempts. Klesko is only signed for 1 year. I believe same with Aurilia.

I think that would really tarnish Bonds' credibility if he moved to first base. IMO that might be a reason why I started to disrespect Pujols. The first baseman is the NL's designated hitter, and it looks incredibly stupid when a player is getting too large for somewhere else that a team will allow for a liability to play first base just so he can focus on hitting. Same applies to Garciaparra, Piazza, and Green.

I'd prefer he stays in left field.

Pujols has actually turned into a pretty good 1st baseman though. Some of the other guys, not so much.
