I doubt the Giants will sign A-Rod. They see the history with Bonds and when you sign one guy to a huge contract it hurts trying to sign others as well (unless you're the Yanks). Cabrera wouldn't be worth the trade because he's only signed until end of '08.

Yeah I hear that, but if they sign him it is worth it. You only need 3 solid pitchers. That Bat would make our team so much better.

haha I had the game on still after Bonds left the game, but don't really remember what happened. One moment they're up, then the next they're down. Typical. The only positive that I can see is the Dodgers are falling out of the picture and the Diamondbacks are on top. I hope when Bonds doesn't play, noone comes to the game, that way we can show Sabean and the gang that they have put out the worst team in the league and aren't worth watching

This is pretty funny IMO. Courtesy of http://sayhey.wordpress.com

Following 756* (which also included a Giants loss), Manager Bruce Bochy gathered his physically exhausted and emotionally weary team around for a post-game meeting. Of course, Barry Bonds had left the stadium hours earlier.
Bruce Bochy: Okay guys, now that that’s out of the way, we can go back to concentrating on baseball. The chase is finally over. All trade speculation is over. The insane media presence is–
[Pedro Gomez, with torn dress shirt and dirty face, stumbles in the locker room]
Pedro Gomez [out of breath]: Oh thank god you guys are still here! My Lincoln Continental broke down in Oakland and I had to run across the bridge!
              [Silence]
Pedro Gomez [gaining his composure]: So, what’d I miss?
              [Silence]
Bruce Bochy: Correia, get him out of here. Players only!
[Kevin Correia shoves Gomez out of the locker room. He heads to sit back down but Bochy stops him.]
              Bruce Bochy [sternly]: Players. Only.
[Correia puts his head down and leaves the room too.]

Bruce Bochy: Like I was saying, we still have plenty to play for. Let’s continue to work on the little things. Let’s set and accomplish team goals and individual goals. We may be out of the playoff race but–
Bengie Molina [still wearing chest protector]: Whatchu talkin’ bout mayn?! We got this! We can still make the playoffs!!
Bruce Bochy: Now calm down, Bengie. I know you’re an intense guy, but relax for a sec. The game ended like three hours ago.
Bengie Molina: Aw hell naw! We got no fire on this team! This is the laziest team I’ve ever been on! Our star player left the stadium before the game was over! And look at Richie over there! The mother*earmuffs*er’s takin’ a nap!
Rich Aurilia [hat over his eyes, grumpy, half-asleep]: Ssshhh Bengie. It’s late. I can’t sleep with all this commotion.
Barry Zito [guitar in hand]: Hey guys, I know just the thing to cheer everyone up: a song!
              [Everyone groans.]
Bruce Bochy: That won’t be necessary, Zeets.
Barry Zito: No, it’s ok! I don’t mind! It’s the least I can do!
              [Everyone groans again.]
Barry Zito [strumming and singing]: ♫ Free love on the free love freeway … The love is free and the freeway’s long … I got some hot love on the hot-love freeway … I ain’t going home cos’ my baby’s gone ♫
Tim Lincecum [chiming in]: ♫ She’s deeeeaaaaad. ♫
Barry Zito [still strumming]: She’s not dead.
Bruce Bochy [swiping guitar]: That’s enough. Now, does anyone besides Bengie have anything to say about the rest of the season?
              [Ryan Klesko raises his hand.]
Ryan Klesko: Do you think Erin Andrews really wants to go surfing with me? Or was she just saying that?
              Bruce Bochy: Meeting dismissed.

Haha nice I can actually picture that too.

Anyway, I just saw on that ESPN tracker that our bullpen leads the NL in losses with 23. Can't completely blame the bullpen as I've seen misplayed fly balls, numerous extra inning games in which the offense couldn't buy a run and we also had Armando Benitez. Still, it's pathetic. Combine those losses with Cain's and there we have it, last place.

Wow.. we traded Sweeney to the Dodgers. The DODGERS. I don't mind all these vet's to be traded, but not to the DODGERS. Easily the best pinch hitter in the game and thought there would have been more interest at the deadline. Plus he was off the books next year so it's a moot move. If Sabean can get someone to eat Zito, Durham, Winn or Roberts contract then that's something, but until that's done... Sabean goes down as a dumbface.

Talking about ditching Zito's contract already? . Lol.
Anyways, this is not going to sit well with the fan base, especially since Sweeney was a welcomed presence in the clubhouse.

Well, if Bonds keeps hitting like this I say resign him. He is still our best hitter we got. if this continues he might get 800 lol.

Seriously, his 3rd straight game homering. So far what he said after the 756 press conference is true. He has stopped worrying about the record and has moved on. Now he's locked in. Man it's great.
