    Re: 2007 San Francisco Giants

So I was reading an article in Sports Illustrated and it happened to be on the Angels. Man do they have it good... an ownership that WANTS to win and is more about pleasing the fans than simply making revenue like our horrible club. Their ticket price avg is about $20, ballcaps at about $7 and beer prices got knocked down 20% to enable the low to mid class actually attend a game while enjoying it. I think it's easy to say that they've gone the opposite direction of the Giants. Honestly the Giants are useless to watch if Bonds isn't playing or Lincecum isn't pitching. Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if Cain is gone the first second he gets either.

The sad thing is that since AT&T park is downtown they know that tourists will still go checkout the park. So they won't lower ticket prices at all. And yeah I agree Cain must feel crappy that he can't even get any kind of run support. He'll leave for sure.

Ok I just read some article on Teixera and how they're going to deal him and SOMEHOW the Giants ended up in the article. How is this even possible? Not sure if Magowan and Sabean have looked at the standings, but uhhh we're hopeless. Not to mention Teixeira only has a year left on his contract. However from past experiences, we'd probably offer them Lincecum Cain and Sanchez becasue we all know... someone that can bat lefty is worth that much to the Giants.

Man I hope this isn't true. I agree we are hopeless this season and I think they should start bringing up their minor league players. I pray they don't touch our young arms but your right we do have a history of giving up quality pitchers.

You realize we have him for about 5 years right? I think he is staying, unless we trade.

Not if they sign him. I would give up Cain for him or Timmy. If they sign him if they don't then no!

Why is this game starting at 4 today? I understand earlier starts for getaway days, but those are usually at like 12:15 or 1:05 ish. It strikes me as an odd time for a west coast day game.

No way would I give up Tim for him regardless of a guaranteed new contract from Teixeira. Teixeira is already 27 and has seemed to have lost any type of power that he showed from previous years. It's definitely not the environment because he hits in one of the most hitter friendly parks in the league. He has had an injury so maybe thats lingering. I always thought he could be a 50HR guy in his peak years, but i dunno now. Plus he mentioned he wanted to be on a winning team - the Giants are nowhere close to that.

Oh and it's pretty fun knocking out these playoff hopeful teams. We actually had a shot at winning every game of this past series haha. The Braves need to get that deal done

Matt Morris is now gone, for a rookie outfielder. WTF?

Yeah I agree, but it is going to cost us something to get a good bat, I would for Miguel Cabrera. Cain or Tim, which ever one they want.

Good deal considering Morris screwed the Giants over by pitching like a douchebag the past month and more. His trade value was so low that I was amazed someone actually wanted him. The fact that the Pirates are eating ALL of his salary is even better. I want the Giants to try out Jonathan Sanchez as Morris' replacement. Go in next year with a rotation of Lowry Cain Lincecum Zito and Sanchez

Well we are playing better. And Noah was great tonight, still too many walks, but he seem to get out of the jams! Wow, the L.A. can't beat us at their home and we can't beat them at our home. Go figure.

I was hoping Sanchez can be a closer.

He definitely has the tools, but the fact that he's a lefty makes me believe he'll become a starter. The majority of his appearances in the minors was as a starter as well. Hennessey has been decent in the closer role as of late

Man can this kid Rajai Davis play or what? And his hustle against the Dodgers tonight, well done! Damn and he steals a bag. I'm loving this trade! haha.
