Seriously. The one big thing I'll question from the game is why Dusty put Fogg in the game for 2/3 of an inning. Fogg is your long-reliever. In addition to that, it's late May. Look, I'm not saying you just give up/concede, but use some sense here. They aren't in a pennant race at the moment. I doubt with Fogg pitching a lot in the game that it would have gone to 18 innings but you never know. Either leave Fogg in there (you're already in extra innings) or start the inning with Bray and let him take his lumps if they happen. Banks pitched 6 innings in relief for San Diego. Bud Black seemed to have done a pretty good job running the Padres today. I thought it was horrible game management on Dusty's part. I guess you really can't plan for a game like that but still. I just hope using Harang and Volquez today doesn't mess them up. Just a guess but I think Arroyo is going to start in Harang's spot on Wednesday and the rest of the rotation will be pushed back a day because of this.

Freel and Hopper had already been used ealier in the game.
Again lets just give Dusty and chance to manage, now if they start the season 10-30 then lets bash him.

Patterson is a good player, and will have good season for the Reds. I never understood why the Cubs got rid of him.

Bruce is coming up and hopefully will be the player we all hope he will be. Hopefully Patterson will be gone from the team soon.

I would be surprised if he didn't play today. I would think they are calling him up to play, not ride the pine.

Report back with your findings please. Hopefully the Reds will get back on some kind of winning streak that lasts longer than 2 games again.

Again for the 400th time it is fine to bash Dusty but it is useless and a waste of time, because he is not going anywhere! Again he has 4 years and like 12 million left on his contract, no way the Reds fire him.
As for Corey him being bashed is about over, I really think he will get cut today. And I never once said I was a Corey fan.

Phillips stinks. He has around a .250 career batting average and under .300 OBP. I'd be more confident with Hatteberg hitting against lefties than Phillips.

I just dont know why he would keep Corey and have 4 left handed hitting outfielders.
Seems like the easy choice would be to release Corey!
