Re: Your 2008 Toronto Blue Jays!

I thought Dum er, Denbo was supposed to fix some of the RISP problems that the Jays had last year. We were 1 for 11 with RISP and it was truly a crappy way for Halladay and the Jays to lose.

I liked the hustle from Scutaro though. If he can get on base enough I could see him tearing up the basepaths until Rolen comes back.

Tough loss. They gotta start getting those guys in scoring positions in. They could've had this game.

That was a 2007 loss, plain and simple.

Well that was a completely different experience. Nice to see AJ looking so sharp. Let's hope it's a sign of things to come.

Well it appears that Stairs is going on the DL and when you're 40 and have an athritic hip this whole season may be a write off in terms of him being at all effective . Nice move by JP to get rid of any depth we had in the OF by getting rid of Johnson. Now we have to rely on Stewart who hasnt' exactly been a picture of health the last few years and that's assuming Wells and Rios stay healthy all season. Way to go JP with that forward thinking just to save a little money. How could he not know that Stairs was ailing 2 weeks ago before he gave Reed away to the Cubs.

Another bad loss. The defense that was our strength last year has cost us a game this year (using the averaging out ties logic).

But in like 19 hours I'll be back at the Rogers Centre, so I'm happy.

Argh it was a painful game to watch as thing played right into the Yankees hands. Should Gibby have gotten McGowan out a little earlier when he started to struggle with is command? Chamberlain and Rivera = pain for any team going into the 8th down by a run. Hopefully the bats will get a little better playing indoors this weekend where it's warmer.

There is something off about those powder blues. They look I dunno kinda coral blue in a way rather then powder blue. Then again, it could be the TV I'm watching.

Nice to see the Jays pull it out. After seeing Marcum allow that 3 run blast I thought "oh no here we go again" but the bats woke up enough to eke out a win.

Might have been the smoke from the pre-game ceremonies that seemed to just linger around for the whole game washing the colors out! Great to pull that win out, and nice to see the win coming from the four spot in the order. Oh and how about the pitching so far!?

Ah it was so beautiful seeing the Jays spank the Red Sox all over the building! Let's hope they have enough left in their bats to beat the Sox tomorrow afternoon. It's also going to be great to hear Buck Martinez again as he's working for TBS (the game will be shown on that network)
