I gotta say guys, no more heilman, no more schoenweiss, to make this offseason the best ever, all they have to do is get rid of castillo but Im not greedy, I can live with just heilman and schoenweiss.

this offseason has been superb, cant wait for next season to start.

With the news today that Tex is going to the Bronx the Mets need to sign Manny to a 3-year deal and solve the outfield problem in left.

I've wanted Manny in left from the beginning.

I don't see Omar dealing with his headaches though. If it happens I would be completely and utterly shocked.

Pared - I thought Omar has been a fan of Manny for years? I think the ones who do not want any part of Manny are the owners. The market for him is really low. Offer him a nice 3 year deal with some incentives for more bucks and add him to your lineup at your brand new stadium. Are you telling me that Having Manny in Left will not get people in the seats. I would rather have Manny for 3 or 4 years than Lowe, Perez, or any other free agent pitcher left on the market.

I think it would be whether Omar is willing to tolerate the possible headaches with Manny. I don't see him doing that. Omar seems to have a different demeanor as of late. People that work at Shea/Citi have told me the front office seems to be more "serious" as of late.

It also looks like we're heavily pushing for Lowe.

I think it's going to be Lowe...and then look to maybe pick up another bat via trade during the season.

Man, I had to shed a tear the other day.. took my dad to LaGuardia to catch a flight, and drove past the "old lady". I was shocked that you could actually see straight through the other side in some parts at Shea..

I'm guessing...
Santana-Lowe-Maine-Pelfrey-Niese.
With the new pen, I'm very happy with the Mets pitching staff right now(if they sign Lowe I should say)

I'd say that would be it for the Mets...and they pick up a right handed bat around the trade deadline.

At least until they trade for someone.(let's hope Murph and Tatis have good enough years that it doesn't matter.)

I gotta go to the page and check out some of the events.
