Thank you brother! Right back at ya!! The WWP is doing well,but it can always get better. We have many new events slated for this spring. I hope too be in NYC sometime in late June early July. Maybe we can catch a Mets game. That would be very cool!

Don't think it's gonna happen. Poor baseball writers don't have anything to write about these days now that the winter meetings are over, so they have to manufacture stuff... Last week it was "Mets are deep in negotiations with Derek Lowe", making it seem like a deal was gonna be signed in a couple of days. Any deal for Andruw Jones, even one relieving us of Castillo, makes no sense, IMO. Omar would be castrated for making a deal for Jones and leaving Manny out there.

Is A. Jones playing Winter ball or anything? Has he looked good. I guess if we could unload Castillo and sign Hudson I would be ok with bringing it Jones. Hudson would be an upgrade over what he has at second base last season and Jones might be better than what he had in Left last season before he put Evans/Murphey out there.

Nah, screw that... Manny is there for the taking; he's falling right into our laps, if only the Wilpons would sign off on it... Omar would do it in a NY minute. He'd take pressure off of everyone in the lineup. I get wood thinking about what this lineup would do if Manny was in the middle of it.

The patch is pretty bad. I do not even want to know how much they paid an ad agency to come up with that. A 12 year old could come up with something better. Since Lowe is off to the Braves the Mets should use that money plus more and stick Manny in Left field. They need a right handed bat and if they do not get Perez they need to score more runs. Some talk is that the new ballpark will be more hitter friendly than Shea so they need to account for more runs scored by the opponet no matter who is pitching.

Who cares... even if the patch is ugly. All that matters is baseball.

There's more important things the Mets need to focus on.

While I agee with you Pared that the patch does not mean anything, it is still bad to have that on your jersey that everybody will see everyday. They should have come up with something more like what the Yankees did.

I still do not understand why they do not give on the years for Manny. It is not like they have not signed a guy knowing he would not fullfill the years in the deal (Pedro) and he would fill out the lineup. They would finally have that big right handed bat that would make the difference. I do not think Delgado will have a full season like his uprising in the second half so the power numbers for the team will go down. The pitching will be better than last season, but they need some pop in the lineup from the right side.

I want him on the squad as well but I think that money won't go anywhere until the pitching staff is rounded out. There is still two guys up for negotiations and they probably don't want to limit how much they can spend, even if it is on Oliver and Pedro.
