Ely is awesome. He has such great control. He keeps pitching like this, and he's going to be getting a nice paycheck lol.

Still amazed at his control. NO walks in i think it said 48 or 49 innings? Lakers game was on, so i was trying to watch 2 games at once.

I was at the second game of Manny's suspension return. I'll never forget that, the stadium was PACKED with Dodger fans. Too bad we lost. ManRam's HR was epic though.

LOL...yeah same here. I was turning to the game during commercials and once the Laker game finished, I switched over. Ely looked pretty good tonight and hope he remains in the starting rotation.

Why do people say Manny has bad defense? he doesnt have the strongest arm in the world, but i dont really recall him making mistakes. I see him always hustling. He gets the ball out of his glove faster then anyone i have seen. lol

He's not a gold glover, but he's not terrible.

Agreed. The guy gets a bad rap. He has a decent arm, I mean remember when he played right field for the Indians. There has to be a gun there somewhere... Anyways, 9 in a row and counting! Oh, and Ely has been amazing... I bet the White Sox are kicking themselves for trading this guy. What a find. Hopefully he stays consistent with the awesome command he's shown so far. Go Blue!

Anyone want to see Roy Oswalt in a Dodger uniform?

Could be interesting, I think there is a need for an experienced guy in the rotation instead of relying on the kids. Padilla will be coming back at some point and Ely looks good so maybe we'll be ok. As long as we don't give up too much for him.

To get Oswalt means Padilla is the odd man out. There is no way you get rid of Ely and the Job he's doing unless he just completely falls apart. Kershaw, Bills, Kuroda, Ely and Oswalt. ughh. ya.

Oh ya, Dodgers back in first (tie) where they belong. Its been all because of the pitching, who would have thought? lol

In first place just where they belong. Ely with another strong outting. Hitting doing its thing. Just rolling right now, 12 of 13 i think it is?

16-4 in the month of May! Nice turnaround.

BTW- I love X Paul. Next year no Manny, no problem: Eithier, Kemp, Paul in the OF.

Can we get Oswalt? I hope so. The lineup this team can put together can match up against anyone when everyone is healthy. If there was an ace, it could be a WS year.

read the L.A times article they had about Oswalt. Ned said that Mcourt didnt tell him no. I dont see anything being done though until after the all star break so they only have to pay half of that salary.

I think we may be able to get him. Oswalt, Kershaw, Bills, Kuroda and Ely?

I dont know how our pitching turned it around so fast. We were getting shelled big time. I guess folks just needed to find their rhythm.
