Me not having cable really sucks right now and i lose it the week of the playoff game and then will get it back tomorrow

So I'll be following the gamecast sadly

So I read a stat that Jake Arrieta is the first pitcher to ever throw a postseason shutout with double digit K's and zero BB's. If true, that's insane.

I want Fowler in a Cubs uniform next year. I loved him before we acquired him and still love him now.

Can't wait to see a full series; since games were taken off WGN and I live in New York, the only way I've been able to keep up with the Cubs is listening on Sirius. Last night was probably like the 3rd game I've been able to actually watch this year.

With another 9 shutout innings, Arrieta's season ERA is down to 1.70. I know it doesn't count towards his season stats but jesus.

Quite possibly the most incredible season I have ever witnessed a pitcher have.

I would honestly vote for him for the Cy Young as well as the MVP. Going to be an absolute shame if he doesn't win one of those awards.

Wrigley was absolutely electric last night! My first bleacher experience too (I picked one heck of a game for it).

So giddy that the Cubs could clinch today at home in front of our fans. What these rookies are doing is remarkable. Go Cubs!

So there are 7 teams still in contention as of right now and none of them had the best or 2nd best record in baseball this season. Cry me a river.

Cubs World Series here we come...I don't see either the Mets (we've owned them) or the Dodgers as being able to match up with this team right now.

Calm down lol Don't need to puff out the chest after one series.

To be fair, we beat the Mets early in the season when their offense was absolutely putrid. Both teams (Mets and Dodgers) played a great second half of the season.

Don't forget, we are the team that wasn't supposed to be here. I like rolling with that mentality as opposed to the one that says we are supposed to win. We have seen how that story ends.

But wow, what a roller coaster of emotions last night. Watching that final out with my grandfather who is 87 and has been a life long Cub fan brought a tear to my eye. Hopefully a few more will be shed before this season is over.
