Yeah that didn't exactly start off on the best note but their ability to shake off the loss of Cueto and come through with a W was great to see. It'll be interesting to see how the rotation plays out, especially if Cueto doesn't pitch again in the NLDS. But, unlike 2010, whatever happens, I feel really good about their chances. If worst comes to worst, they'll figure something out and find success.

Oh well. It's only one game. They're still up 2-1. Not finishing them off tonight muddies things a bit on the starting pitcher front with Cueto being down with what they are now saying is an oblique strain. Decision will be between Latos and Leake for tomorrow. If Leake starts, that means Cueto is out for the NLCS since Leake isn't currently on the roster. I really hope they weather all of this.
Great atmosphere at the ballpark tonight, by the way. First playoff game I've been to since game 2 of the 1995 NLCS. Too bad they didn't get a W.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Yeah I remember the game he outpitched Cain earlier in the year. Leake should have been on the roster ahead of Valdez to start though... Oh well, if Leake can give us 5-6 strong innings we have a chance.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

I hope so, but it will be tough to beat Cain again (it would be 4 times on the year too if it happens) and all the momentum we had has obviously switched to the Giants. The Reds need to hit the ball, which they haven't done in the last 2 games.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

I'm beyond stunned they lost this series. Giants have a great team but the Reds have been so resilient this season, and it showed in game 1, that I thought they'd take it in game 3 or 4. I just hope it's fuel for the fire in 2013. This team, with a healthy Cueto, could have won it all. Really, really disappointed.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

The one positive is its another learning experience and this team is gonna be intact next year. We still have to address the elephant in the room: lead off hitter. And what to do with guys like Stubbs.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
