    Re: 2013 Atlanta Braves Thread

Washington has been banged up all year, and I believe they'll finish around 90 wins. Philly is a mess. Atlanta is as streaky as streaky can get, but the pitching is going to keep us in almost every game.

This team is a much better AL team. Gattis, McCann, or Justin rotating at DH and Schafer at leadoff.

I can't believe that the division lead is only 5 games...

We're a .500 team if you throw out the winning streak at the start of the season.

Heyward is starting to come around though. And while B.J. will never live up to his contract, I do think he'll heat up at some point. Maybe we can move him back to 2B and let Schafer stay in CF.

BJ at 2B would be a disaster...at least Uggla is an average fielder and draws walks. The whole offense is just frustrating to watch. To be honest, my favorite lineup is one in which Schafer is in CF, Pena is at 2B, and Gattis/Mac are catching.

My tongue was in my cheek with the Upton to 2B comment. But it would be nice to find a way to get Schafer in the lineup every day the way he's playing right now.

Pena is out for the season. Big time loss for the bench.

That is huge...what was his injury? I didn't even realize it was serious...

Torn throwing shoulder muscle. Wanted to play through it, but he's on a one-year deal, so he has to get surgery now so that he can be recovered in time for next offseason. Don't blame him at all.

Was at the game on Saturday. Fantastic time. Turner Field never disappoints.

This Braves-Marlns game is awesome right now.

How do you guys feel about the Joba Chamberlain rumor?

                          What's the rumor?

NM, I thought maybe there was a specific deal being rumored.

I'm not a Chamberlain fan and don't really see a need for him. I'd rather pick up another lefty for the pen.

I wouldn't mind it because there is always the chance that he could be used in the rotation if an injury strikes. I think he still has a lot of potential, but he needs a change of scenery.

That worked miracles for Ian Kennedy. However, I wouldn't give up anything spectacular for him. Todd Cunningham for Joba maybe?

Angel Hernandez is by far the absolute worst umpire in the majors.
