Nope. Never been late for work.

Maybe his dad didn't know what time it was. After all he is delusional:

Tony Rasmus, the outspoken father of Toronto Blue Jays center fielder Colby Rasmus, suggested on Monday that his son hasn't exactly realized his full potential over the last three seasons."I'm a guy that feels like he could've been an All-Star for the last three years if he was in the right situation," Rasmus said during an appearance on the Mike Richards Show with Bob Mackowycz & Matt Cauz on TSN 1050. "He has the kind of ability to be that kind of player."Rasmus has endured a volatile tenure with the Blue Jays, and the impending free agent has struggled through much of the 2014 campaign. The 27-year-old missed time earlier this season with a hamstring injury, and is hitting .219/.281/.441 (97 OPS+) with 14 home runs and a 32 percent strikeout rate through 75 games.However, the outfielder's father suggested Monday that his son's experience with the St. Louis Cardinals - and his relationship with then-manager Tony La Russa, in particular - quashed the youngster's enthusiasm during the nascent stages of his career."I feel like he had a huge ego and I felt like he was a real [unintelligible] - he reminded me a lot of Brett Lawrie," Rasmus said of his oldest son. "He was a 'get after it' kind of guy and, boy, Tony [La Russa] didn't like that, and he just crushed that out of him. He turned him into this real quiet, can't talk, don't smile [kind of guy].Rasmus also said he believes Colby was a better player before La Russa stifled his enthusiasm."Oh, there's no doubt," said Rasmus. "I think he was much better player. I think he's never been the same."

So you don't think Rasmus has all-star potential.

He's a league average bat with okay defense in CF with a massive ceiling. What are you expecting?

When he's batting I'm always expecting a strike out. More than 30 per cent of the time he lives up to that low expectation.

He had a great 2013 season but that appears to be a one-year anomaly.

I see a player who can't work with hitting coaches and has a giant hole in his swing.

The Jays will let him walk. I doubt he'll be qualified which is a shame.

I have a feeling the Jays WILL let Colby walk, BTW he's said that he'll start going to games on time now and has changed his batting mechanics again. We'll see how that goes.

This is a HUGE week for this team. I'm really hoping we see at least 30,000 at the dome and a LOUD crowd too.

You just gotta LOOOVE this organization "sigh"

All throughout the weekend they were saying "Oh, Lawrie won't be back until the Detroit series." They lose 3 out of 4 against Houston, call him up and he goes and tweaks his back.

Isn't this Lawrie's like third oblique injury? Dude needs to add some yoga to his routine.

Back to the 15-day disabled list. He should just change his number to 15 or 60.

Just got back from the Jays game. Lost to the O's 2-1, Caleb Joseph with a 2-run HR and Gose hit a solo shot. Only 4 hits, lots of sloppy play. Joey Bats was cold as ice.

Well...The next three days will determine how the rest of the season goes. The Jays NEED to sweep Detroit or at least take 2 out of 3 just to keep their confidence. The other way this thing can go is right down the toilet and being a lifelong Torontonian I, as well as most of you know that's a very distinct possibility.

I don't know. I think we'll be in this turtle race for the second wild card into September. Don't forget we play Seattle starting Monday and that will have more of an impact in the wild card race.

I'm not expecting our offense is going to improve much until Edwin comes back. I'm hoping that's next week. Can't expect too much when our lineup includes Navarro hitting clean up, waiver wire acquisition Francisco hitting fifth, and Valencia hitting sixth like last night. That's not a knock against Navarro who has been great or Francisco who has made a surprising contribution. It's just not an order that's going to strike the heart into the fear of opponents.

Yeah, but i'm looking at the Yankees who are just on a roll right now. Who knew a team that decimated could be getting the pitching and hitting that they are right now? If the Jays go on an extended losing streak than they run the risk of having too many teams they have to leapfrog.
