Im not sure that's what Reds management is thinking or ownership for that matter, or atleast not quite yet. Not quite sure I agree with that, but I tend to think they have more optimism than most fans at this time.

Personally I don't think you will see a huge fire sale as some think, or think we even need. I definitely think Cueto will be traded if they feel after AS break we don't have a very good shot at a WC, and they may decide to trade Chapman, imo they probably should trade him, but he does sell tickets with his electric arm, and teams do look at that aspect. Im sure Bruce is still available since they tried to move him this winter. Its possible they BP will be on the market, but I don't see them trading him just to dump his salary, they would want good value for him, or they don't move 1 of our best players and a fan favorite at that.

Losing Cozart will hurt if he misses much time, and from what I saw I think its pretty serious injury unfortunately. Sucks for Cozart and us, since he was finally putting it together this yr and having a AS caliber season.

We cant afford to lose any of our everyday players for very long, or Id say any shot at getting backin to this thing by AS break has no chance, its pretty slim as is with as crappy of pen aswe have.

Cozart went down today. Didn't look good on the replay I saw. Hopefully it isn't an ACL tear or anything.

That's what worried me when it happen, as the 1st thing I thought was his ACL. Could be a meniscus which some have cam back fairly quick from in baseball, but considering our medical staff with meniscus tears, it seems to take quite a while for the players to get back to 100%, going by Votto's and Bruce's last yr even though Bruce got back quickly he wasn't worth a lick.

Im hoping he just hyperextended it, or has a sprain, but it didn't look good when it happen. I feel horrible for Cozart, the kid was finally getting it all together at the plate, and now he might be out for a while.

They're gonna let him eat a roster spot then 6 weeks later, "Yeah his ACL is torn."

Case I want talking about what management was thinking because they are incompetent. There won't be a fire sale because Castellini would rather be mediocre than blow it up and suck for a year or two.

Saw the video of Cozart....that was just brutal. He's having a career year, and then this happens. I'd be shocked if its not a tear, seeing how his knee buckled.

Who do we throw up the white flag of surrender to when it comes to injuries?

              Down goes Cozart. Ugh.

Out for at least 9 months with torn ligaments and tendon in the right knee. Just terrible.

Obviously it sucks for our team, but I mainly just feel bad for Zach. He's been having an incredible season and it's quite unfair that injury will cut it short.

We have the best owner we have had in a very long time, so I wouldn't throw him under the bus. Now our GM, well I think the game might be passing him by. I think Mr C might have to much faith in his friend ability to run the team. At 1 time Walt was highly thought of, but I kind of think the energy it takes to run the team, might not be there with Walt anymore.

I feel bad for Cozy, having a AS caliber season, and finally getting it right at the plate, and now he is out for the season. That's too bad for him, hope he comes back next yr and picks up where he left off.

And that's why the Reds are horrible. Top of the 9th....bases loaded....no outs....pop out, strike out, fly out.

                      Sigh

Saving the closer for that save opportunity that may not come. One inning of Badenhop was playing with fire. Two innings proved to be suicide.

I have thought on the road that managers should go to the closer sooner in extra innings games. Might as well go with your best or you might not get to use him at all that night, especially when we are dealing with as bad of pen as we have. The pen has been better than it was earlier in the season, and Badenhop has been better, but still this pen cant be trusted outside of Chapman and Hoover. Parra I think when he is right and healthy is fine, but he seems to struggle staying healthy, as last yr even though he didn't go on the DL at all, was actually unavailable for quite few games last season. That's why I say unless your there everyday and around the clubhouse you really have no clue why a manager may go with a certain pitcher out of the pen, and that's why we probably saw Hoover last yr more than we wanted, lol.

He might end up with more HR's then the team has wins at this pace.

Thought he would be a good, solid, consistent presence at 3B. He's exceeded my expectations by a longshot.
