Need C.C to break this string of awful starting pitching performances. I want to say this is just a fluke and not a serious issue.

But since the last game against Colorado. This has been truly awful pitching up and down.

7 ER or more in 7 straight games for the Yankees pitching staff. Fantastic.

I'd be fine with him gone tomorrow. The trainers can go with him.

Can we just fire all the trainers already? This is getting ridiculous. There has to be something more to all of this then just bad luck at this point. All of a sudden this year the team turned into a bunch of Ellsbury’s.

I really really think that the injuries are hurting Cashman's ability to make a trade.

My assumption based on nothing but trying to understand the collection of hitters and no deal being in place right now is Cashman had originally hoped to package a hitter in a deal for a big-time pitcher.

But the injuries are depleting Cashman's treasure chest of MLB players. He can't deal anyone on the active roster because we're already running multiple Rail Riders out there.

Cashman is going to be forced to give up a major prospect or make no move at all.

I feel like they told us in the offseason they weren't willing to go all in so I'm not expecting much.

This is one of the best lineups you are ever gonna see, and that's without Andujar and Stanton. It's time to go all in. The starting pitching has been trash.

This organization went from throwing money at everything and anything and depleting the farm to penny pinching and protecting the farm at all costs.

There has to be a middle ground. What are they banking on here? That Severino is gonna come back to Ace form and everybody else will fall in line? This is stupid.

I feel like Cashman is playing it too safe on the trade market. Maybe it’s an after effect of being burned by the Sonny Gray deal. Even though that package of prospects hasn’t come back to haunt them yet, the next one could. Cashman doesn’t seem willing to be very aggressive. The Happ deal? Meh. Did part with Sheffield for Paxton but if I remember correctly he’s the only piece of actual value that they gave up for Paxton. If you want a good MLB player you have to part with good prospects.

I’m not saying throw away the future to try and win it all now but if Cashman basically wants to hoard all his top prospects then Hal is going to have to be willing to spend a bit more in FA to cover for it which doesn’t seem to be the case. This year definitely won’t be their final shot at a WS but I think eventually he’s going to have to make the risky aggressive deal he doesn’t seem to want to make now to get the team over the top.

He’s ‘stolen’ several quality players from teams before but he’s not gonna be able to fleece a team out of their ace.

My biggest problem is with the pitching coach. Why does Happ and Paxton suddenly suck. Gray came here and sucked. Now he's thriving in Cincy. The NL might be easier on pitchers but Gray is still pitching in a homer friendly park.

I really think it's time to let Rothschild go and start fresh. What could it hurt?

What could it hurt is the worst question to ask IMO. If you don't actually know it'll help, don't do it. That being said, I don't even know what he does. The organization's analytics people handle a lot more of this than we know. Reading the MVP Machine (which everyone should btw) makes it sound like they're up there testing stuff in a virtual reality version of the Show and running it through physics simulations engines.

I basically am blaming Cashman for any and everything that happens to this team until it's made clear to me anyone else with decision making power. This is his ship as far as I'm concerned.

I agree. There’s only so much you can turn to the ‘they can’t handle NY’ narrative before you have to start looking at the coaching. I think Rothschild has done more bad then good in recent times. Don’t expect him to go anywhere mid season but hopefully a change is made after this season.

Yea bottom line is over the last 15 years or so the starting rotation has held us back most of those years. It's been consistent. Something has to change

Well this was a disaster. I guess the only positive here even though it certainly doesn’t apply to everyone is at least Clint Frazier is still here. Gonna be a bit upset if it turns out they held him here but then just go on to turn around and trade him in the offseason. Hopefully this means he’s gonna be getting a real chance next year and not another situation where everyone knows his roster spot is going to be taken back soon by a guy coming off the IL.
