Because I'm in win now mode. This team is good enough to win a title. If that's what it would take to get Mad Max. I'm with it.

Considering what it took for us to get him, I doubt it. Seems like there wasn’t much of a market for EE. And who would want EE that isn’t an AL Contender? He clearly doesn’t have much value on his own, and can’t be part of a package for a pitcher because why would that team have any use for a player hitting his late 30’s then. Probably looking at just getting similar value that they gave up to get him in the first place.

If they do that they may as well have kept Juan, Then.

I don’t get the Frazier move. Tauchman and David Hale are more valuable on this team than he was?

The only thing I could think of with Tauchman is he can play the outfield and the Yankees want Frazier playing every day.

Let's face it, Frazier is a DH right now. That's just the reality and it's going to tank his value no matter how good he is offensively. The Yankees need him to get his fielding in order.

With Stanton due back, there was no where to play Frazier. They aren't going to release Gardner. That's heart and soul stuff and you don't mess with that. Hicks owns CF and Stanton will need to play RF since Encarnacion is not playing the outfield.

There is no situation that you start Frazier over Hicks, Stanton, Encarnacion, Gardner or Voit. Even if it makes sense statistically, it doesn't make any sense in terms of chemistry, value, cost and fielding. Frazier has options, the choice was obvious even if I hate it too.

It's weird because he's too valuable to trade for someone like Stroman and not valuable enough to be the centerpiece for an ace. Hopefully Cashman already has something in mind.

Clint has deleted all of his posts of playing on the Yankees off of social media.

Impulsive reaction to the demotion or did they already find a new home for him?

Probably an impulsive reaction. Dude clearly didn't come through the Yankees system, Judge would never.

Clint has attitude problems. But the guy has hit well. Sending him down in any manner is a real slap in the face.

Not a fan of the way they've handled him at all. He's being handled very poorly.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

I doubt there’s already a trade ready or near completion. It’s a bit early for one of the best available starting pitchers on the trade market to be moved in my opinion. I would expect a package involving Frazier to bring back something significant. It’s probably just a reaction.

He has a right to be upset. Gotta be frustrating to finally get a real chance, play well enough to earn a spot on the MLB roster, then get demoted anyway, and at the same time have it be made pretty clear by that move that it’s only a matter of time until the team trades you away despite being a key guy for a stretch there when the roster was really depleted by injuries. Clint has been handled poorly.

Is it the most professional and mature reaction? No, but not everyone can be Aaron Judge. I actually tend to like the guys with a bit more attitude and fire to them, especially when they are on the team I like.

We've gotten so much great Avengers content this year its crazy.

As far as Clint, how has he been handled poorly? The only reason he's even in the majors is because Stanton got hurt, it's not like he "earned" it and his spot is being taken from him, he made the most of the opportunity he was given but time's up. It's not his fault, but not the team's either, he was going down then or Tuesday, or when Judge came back anyway. I actually liked his comments, he absolutely has a right to be disappointed, that I don't mind. Deleting Instagram pictures isn't fire or attitude, its corny. He's a victim of circumstance but we knew all of this coming into the year, not being able to play centerfield meant he was never going to be here long term.

Taking down pictures is simply childish.

I like Frazier, but this is just superbly bad form and highly un-professional.

The guys at Views from 314, the successor to River Ave Blues if you didn't already know, did a little writeup on the case for Mad Bum:

Click to read "Views from 314 ft.", a Substack publication with hundreds of subscribers.

The performance and current stuff sections are the most interesting to me, there's signs to show he's been pitching hurt (as we more or less already know) and that he's getting right, a lot of his peripherals are encouraging.
