Maybe he plays an EE like role next year? Plays in the field a bit but spends a lot of time in the DH spot as well? EE has a 20M club option for next year but you have to assume they take the 5M buyout option, which opens up his roster spot for next year. A guy in his mid 20’s moving into a mostly DH role probably isn’t ideal but it is what it is.

That’s assuming he can be the player he seems like he can be with the bat. If he can’t clean up his defense somewhat quickly it’s probably for the best that he spends most of his playing time as the DH anyway.

That Chapman blown save woke up the beasts in this lineup. I love it. Even Happ and Paxton look better by some miracle.

After what the Yankees did to Frazier, I wouldn't be surprised if they send Andujar down to work on his defense at the corners.

He can still have value as a backup 1B/3B. You don't want him out there all the time but enough times to spell Voit and I assume Urshela. There is no way the Yankees can let Urshela walk after this season. I'm sure they'll come to an agreement before arbitration.

This offense is relentless. Just putting it on Colorado right now.

I think this team plays even harder for Boone. His umpire exchange will go a long way. They know he's living and dying with each pitch with them.

That was some shot to the face Voit took today. He did not even go down.

My god what a game that was. Still can't see how Hicks got to that ball. Just incredible range.

I’m in such shock still. What an incredible game and incredible team. Didi, Hicks, Judge, Gleyber, Tauchman, everyone is clicking. Let’s go Yankees

Yeah, it's not what you want. Worse than any individual game result is you have to imagine other GM's feel like they have us over a barrel right now. We have negative leverage we're so clearly desperate for a starter. Going to be interesting to see what Cash pulls out.

Well, he was left out there even though he clearly didn’t have it all last night to just keep getting shelled. Most times a guy probably wouldn’t be left in long enough to give up 12 runs.
