Speculation I've seen is the Yankees are trying to gain an extra year of control by keeping him in the minors. This way he doesn't accrue additional days on the active roster and it pushes his arbitration back another year.

This truly might be the best offense I've ever seen. With multiple stars injured no less.

If you would have told me that any of these guys were still going to produce in August after the way they hit back in May, I would have told you that we had to be more realistic and expect law of averages to come into play.

I just expect someone to step up every game.

Cashman should promote the weakest hitting AAA guy and have him hang out in the dugout for a week and send him back down.

There's the Tanaka we need. He's been pretty awful of late.

I held my breath that whole 9th inning. Chapman does not do it easily.

He pitched into the blaze and came out on top for his 8nd win.

Chapman keeps us on the edge of our seats but we also got to see the future of the Blue Jays go toe-to-toe with him.

                  Looks scary.

I think this lineup is gonna go off in the playoffs. Especially if everyone gets healthy. Or almost everybody

There's no real solid way to pitch this lineup.

The Astros will be a problem. Especially if our starting pitching is ***. But this lineup will still work the elite Astros starters.

I do believe a average rotation with a good pen and an incredible offense as the Yankees have is enough.

And we can always count on Tanaka giving us the playoff version of Tanak. He's always more locked in.

Looks like the Yanks are holding tryouts for pitching. Sign, get called up, pitch an inning and get dfa'd the next day.

Yep, this rotation will be the cause of a wasted season.

I disagree the name of the game is offense now. Yankees have the lineup to hit any pitching staff.

Yankees still have arguably the best bullpen in baseball. Rotation is middle of the pack. But its average. Betances could be a big boost. I'm not counting on Sevy so much.

But get this team healthy for the playoff run. I feel they are unpitchable.

This isn't one of the past Yankees teams that had a good offense and a mediocre pitching staff. This offense can carry you. They are averaging almost "6 runs a game with a team batting average at
.272." That's tough. With numerous key injuries to boot.

Last year's problem was hitting with risp. They were HR, sac fly or nothing. This year's team strikes with risp. Its gonna be fun.

As big as a Yankee fan that I am when it comes to postseason baseball great pitching will beat great hitting most of the time. We need to pitch well to win it all.
