C.C is just a gamer, a true throwback on the mound. I vaguely remember following his early flamethrowing years in Cleveland, I remember really following him and his character on the field when he was traded to the Brewers for their playoff push where it seemed like he was pitching every damn day. Then his early dominant years on my beloved Yankees and all but thought he was finally done about 2 years ago, then a strong season last year and great postseason followed by another superb year this year. He’s just a true gamer out there pitching like each time out could be his last, and you can’t find a person or former teammate that ever has anything but praises to say about him the person as well as the player

It's hard not to love CC at this point, and it feels mutually beneficial from a team/player standpoint. Obviously, just that he's comfortable and well-paid here, but Pettitte is the guy who taught him the pitch that's extending his career right now. It's good to see a relationship like this, I feel like the team has done right by CC and vice versa.

The sky may not be falling. But the injuries are piling up. Nothing serious it doesn't seem like. But it feels like the Redsox could get a little cushion with this going on.

Sonny is a giant dud. He has the testicular fortitude of Pineda out there. He looks nervous and isn't believing in his stuff. That's a big problem. I think the Yankees are gonna have to go all in and get Degrom or another huge arm. I can't see this current rotation holding up in October, even with a healthy Tanaka. I sure as hell don't want Gray near a game.

This team has to do better with RISP too. It's a bit all or nothing right now. Boston and Houston are a little more consistent.

They put up a graphic the other night on yes, showing that the yanks had the 2nd best average with RISP for the first two months of season, and had fallen to be the worst in the category for May and June. Crazy how the team has really changed and is now valuing it’s starting pitching more and more every day.

Now obviously this doesn't hold too much weight. Seeing as the Padres are 1st. But it gives you an idea. Yankees are all about the long ball.
