I hate it when a starter loses his win. Especially in a world where HOF credentials are based on a stat you cannot always control.

Wow, I thought this would be a tough stretch on the schedule and one of the tougher ones a team could face, Houston on the road, Cleveland, then Boston, but so far we’re just rolling through it vs the other best teams in the AL.

Crazy stuff. Not that I don’t already feel good about this team but if they can pull off and do the same to Boston instead of struggling like last series at Fenway then I’d be really confident in the team.

I really think this years team is another solid starter and a consistent lefty bat (maybe Bird if he can just stay healthy) away from being a really special team this year

14 of 15 now. First time they've done that since 98. Good things happened that year. [emoji4][emoji4]

What a comeback. Now let’s go get that AL East division lead from Boston.

That's exactly what I was thinking. They had an insane amount of walkoffs that year.

Maybe alot to ask. But I want a sweep of the red sox next. Time for some payback.

I really feel like this Yankees team is the first I've seen in several years where there's just no weakness. It's been fun to watch. Andujar is looking like a guy that could be good for a long time. Torres has had an immediate impact(the walkoff today and he's had a couple of other key hits during this hot streak). Even someone like Walker who's maybe not as talented has been contributing. I feel better about this team than I have since 09.

You mean no weakness in the lineup, hitting wise, right? Even so, I think Gardner is a huge liability, since he looks toast. Andujar also will never amount to much if he doesn’t get better pitch recognition. They basically gave him zero fastballs late in the game and he kept swinging at stuff out of the zone. He’ll basically be Starlin Castro at this rate.

In terms of other weaknesses, tonight’s game really showed the two major ones. The team defense is absolutely awful. Sanchez, we all know, is a below average catcher defensively. He calls a great game and he has a cannon for an arm, but he makes a lot of mental/lazy errors and can’t block a ball in the dirt. We must have been so spoiled by Tex at first, too, because comparatively, Austin is a butcher over there and can’t scoop balls out of the dirt very well.

The other main weakness is baserunning. I believe the Yankees are 2nd in baseball at runners getting thrown out on the basepaths. That send of Torres by Nevin was absolutely terrible. Stanton going on contact on an infield in situation was also a bad decision.

Gardy grinds out those huge at bats though.

Gleyber looking like another star. His approach at the plate. Looks nothing like a Rook.

Let's just enjoy this. This is too much fun.

Eh, he had one great game. He’d been downright awful up to tonight, doubling the amount of extra base hits he’d had all season before today.

It was a bit tongue in cheek, but calling him a huge liability who is toast is a huge overreaction on May 9th

I stand by what I said because he was OPSing .500 and he gets the most at bats of anyone in the lineup. That said, supposedly his exit velocities had been about the same as last year and he could have just been hitting into very bad luck. I’m also very frequently wrong and pretty much everyone I’ve trashed this season has proved me wrong at some point. So who do you want me to talk sh*t about next to get them going?
