Prior looks like Prior. D. Lee is killing the ball. I love when Hairiston is in the lineup. He should play every day. Him and CP at the top would be a great way to change the makeup of this team. What is up with Nomar and Barett. Maybe Michael got out of it with his homer but Nomar looks lost. They better beat the hell of the scum that awaits.Comment

Big Z in the house! When he is on his game you might as well fold up shop. The look on laTroy's face after CP caught Mabry's bomb just screamed I am a ***** and I know it. Get well soon Joe Bo. Nice game Edmonds. Couldn't have happened to a bigger piece of ****.Comment

Re: ***2005 Cubs Thread***
Is anyone else not that upset about Nomar being injured? I mean yeah, hes a star in name only. His defense isnt there which is why Theo got rid of him but since the Cubs new they were going to dump Sosa (albeit after all the FAs were conveniently no longer available), they felt they needed someone with star power and since little kids buy Nomar jerseys they signed Sosa to another year even though his health and hitting are eratic while his defense is consistantly suspect. Its apparent to me that, as sad as it sounds, Neifi is better than Nomar defensively...but at least Hairston gets to play now which pleases me. I was also glad to see Burnitz get a single in a two out RBI opportunity. Thats his opportunity to prove hes more valuable than Sosa since we all know Sammy swung for the fences in all circumstances.Comment

You can't really lose something you never had, technically.Comment

On another note.. Derek Lee has played outstanding thus far, Patterson has taken the pressure of being the man in the OF, and Prior is healthy. Wood continues to bring the K's but nothing more than that... If Wood ever learns put up wins and nomar health holds up - This could be a dangerous playoff contending teamI do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment

I don't know.. I Just look at it from a standpoint that he hasn't had that much of an impact since he been here.Comment
