& apparently he made a quote that not many few picked up on. it was played on the radio today. it almost sounded like he wanted to take on the fans..

"they can boo, but at least I'll be here for seven years"..

That's a fact that's gonna sting a bit.

If he wanted to take on the fans.. you know, he could.. well.. hit and steal bases when he gets on. Taunting the fans, if they pick up on it, will only make things worse.

Pedro's going to be passing the torch to Ezequiel Astacio someday. Astacio's just plain NASTY, when he can get it in the strike zone.

It seams every time the Mets face a young no-name pitcher they make him look like Cy Young.

Well Bonilla slumped his first year and we let him have it. The next year he hit 34 homers for a terrible team. His best year was the one he got traded to the Orioles for 5-Tool Can't Miss Super Prospect Alex Ochoa. Maybe Bobby Bo can give Beltran some pointers on dealing with the pressure. Or maybe he can lend him those earplugs he used to use.

I think we can officially say the Mets are done this year. They are not going to catch the Astros for the wild card spot and the Braves will win the East again this year. Try to make some deals to trade Glavine and the like and bring up some young guys to see if they can play next season.

Watch them sweep the Cubs and then lose 5 of 6 to SD and LA. Can we please send Mr. Koo and Danny Graves back to South East Asia and bring Royce Ring and Heath Bell back up? And what about Gerald Williams? Does he have naked pictures of Jeff Wilpon with Mr. Met? Send him down and bring up another releiver like Tim Hamulack or Tim Lavigne or Blake McGinley. Guys like Williams and Jose Santiago are taking up roster spots. Santiago should be in Puerto Rico vendiendo vasos en colores!
