Barnes didn't owe him a phone call. Sure it would been nice if he would have contacted him. But he didn't owe him anything."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Clips of some top recruits from this year and some next year. And future UConn legend, and #1 2012 prospect, Andre Drummond.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Its recruiting. That happens to coaches all the time, K has been in the business long enough to know that. I'm sure K has stepped in a stolen a number of recruits that other coaches have worked on way longer than he has.

K was on him well before anyone else, and the things Barnes said leading up to his decision at least merited a phone call. It wasn't like K jumped on him 6 months to a year. He was recruiting him for going on 3 years. I think that is just a tad bit different, and I'm not mad at Barnes going to UNC don't get me wrong. I agree it's recruiting, but it was kinda lame how he didn't bother to call him when he had his mind made up earlier that he was going to UNC and just maybe everyone wait for a friggin Skype.President of the Devils Den

I guess it shouldn't but part of me still believes in common decency. Guess that's what I get for actually thinking 17 or 18 year old kids (regardless of what college they go to) is.President of the Devils Den

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
As long as Calhoun doesn't die of a heart attack in the next two years Drummond will be in a UConn uniform in the fall of 2012, despite how many private jet flights WWW offers him. The kid will be Calhoun's swansong, after he leaves for the draft I assume Calhoun will hang 'em up."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

On another note, I find it beyond laughable when someone implies that WWW is the only way Cal can get a top recruit. You don't think cousins having the year he had will help with big men going forward? What about Orton avg 4 points a game coming off the bench with a great chance of being a lottery pick and if not then at least a first rounder?
Michael Gilchrist is supposed to be a lock for UK too, but it ain't over til it's over and I am certainly not counting my chickens before they hatch.
Long ways off before drummond is playig college ball, lots could happen.#WeAreUKComment

Believe it or not his brother can get up too although he's not explosive like that and he can shoot, pass, cross halfcourt and not look lost.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
I can't see Rivers going to UNC, he's either staying with UF or going to Duke, IMO. Dadgum Roy had to reach out to Rivers to get his attention whereas Austin/Doc reached out to K and Duke.Comment
