    Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread

I highly doubt Selby and Knight both go to UK...not enough balls to go around. I honestly see Selby re-committing to Tennessee.

In 2011 news (I tried to start a 2011 thread but it kept freezing), Austin Rivers decommitted from Florida. He is considering Duke and Florida with UNC a distant third.

I guess Selby will decide between Kansas and Tennesse, like JJ said I think he'll be at Tenn. I don't think he's a good fit at Kansas based on his style of play and Self's system.

Kanter is a stud. He's relentless getting to the basket but that may end up being one of his downfalls. Cousins had a habit of getting into attack mode and forcing shots when he was getting double and triple teamed and making stupid turnovers because of it, and I see the same thing happening with Kanter.

I've been watching a ton of video of Brandon Knight lately. Does anyone else see Jamal Crawford in his game? I think he was holding back alot at the Nike Hoop Summit and just had a bad game at the McD's game. I watch a video like this and see Jamal Crawford with braids..<object width="480" height="385">

Damion James is maybe the only player who has gotten better but it hasn't been substantial. Hell Gibson & AJ Abrams got worse IMO. Seems like they have cornered the market on undersized 2's though.

Can anyone who watched the Nike Summit game comment on Will Barton? He's supposed to be the best scorer in this class but barely got PT. DX said he did not look good, anyone here have some insight?

I'm Not really sure why Knight is still looking at SU or why SU is still even recruiting him. He is not a good fit at all and SU already has 2 Solid PGs who will obviously get better, why risk going somewhere were you will not play(he is a 1 & Done). Not to forget that Syracuse traditionally does not recruit Shoot First PGs, just because Boeheim likes to mold PGs to play the 2-3 zone.

Who are you considering the two "solid PG's" returning to Cuse? Knight isn't a shoot-first PG either. Syracuse is still recruiting him because he would by far be the best PG on their team next year.

Will Barton did not look comfortable on the court with all of that talent. He's a very high scoring talent, but he's used to having the ball 80% of the time and he doesn't seem fit for international competition at least. Still a great player.

Everytime I've seen this kid play, he's done nothing but shoot. Note that this is in person, AAU and HS. He's ultra-talented but he is a ball hog from what I've seen.

You've seen him alot more than I so I'll take your word, though it's not that uncommon for star PG's to shoot a lot in HS when they can score better than any of their HS teammates, doesn't make much sense to pass.

His shot selection did looks pretty poor in the Mickey D's game.

He's going to Kentucky, he slipped up in an interview at the Mickey D's game by referring to Kentucky as "we". His decision to go to UK isn't a surprise though, even before that interview most felt he was a lock for UK.

He has UK, UConn, Florida and I think a few other schools.
