The reason it isn't relevant is because Calipari is the only coach who pulls in top NBA prospects every year and actually plays them on good teams (though Self is starting to get there). Thus if he doesn't make the Final Four then nobody starting a key freshman is going to.

Also, I think people are somewhat forgetting that Wall and Cousins were supposed to be the only "one and done"ers. Cal didn't recruit Orton, Bledsoe, and Dodson for one year. I think he was planning on relying on them to be experienced players for 2010.

Meh, there were plenty of people who suspected Bledsoe and Orton would leave before the season started.

I don't know, I really don't care about the recruits until they move into the mansion and pick up their car. All-star games are pretty worthless regardless of the sport.

Washington's Clarence Trent just transferred to Seattle U. The significant thing about it is that this opens up two more scholarships available for 2010, meaning if both Terrence Jones and Terrence Ross wanted, they could both sign here this year. If not, then 2011 recruiting should be solid as well since Romar has more scholarships to give out. There's tons of good prospects the Huskies seem to be in on next year as well.

Not sure about Ross, in fact I think I read someone say he announced on Twitter that he is going to announce on Sunday. I have a feeling it is Kentucky from things I have heard, but still wouldn't surprise me if it is Washington.

As for Jones, he is the guy I want the most in this class but I just don't know if he will leave the west coast. He is a terrific player and one that any team in America would LOVE to have.

Good luck to you Washington fans!

He posted on his Facebook that he's announcing Sunday. It might just be a huge coincidence, but around the same time Clarence Trent announced his transfer, Ross posted something to the effect of: "I know where I'm going to college" or something like that. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but it gives us Washington fans a reason to be optimistic. I thought I read somewhere that he's supposed to come up for a visit this weekend.

I would say good luck to you Kentucky fans, but you guys don't need the luck plus you took Kanter. So thanks anyways haha

Tony Barbee didn't take long to make a very large splash in Auburn basketball recruiting.

6'6" PF Josh Langford, one of the top prospects in the state, will commit to Auburn Thursday at 11:30 am central.

Langford chose Auburn over offers from Ole Miss, Cincinnati, and West Virginia.

On top of that, Top 40 Player 6'8" PF Luke Cothron now has Auburn as his leader over Alabama and Marquette.

Ah...so nice to have both a Football and Basketball coaching staff that actually RECRUITS and recruits HARD.

Langford is a great pull. He'll be a player at AU.

But the word on Cothron is he isn't going to qualify. I think that's why NC State moved on from him.

I've heard Cothron is mad overrated anyway...very selfish and lazy. I wouldn't be too bummed about not landing him.

I'll take my chances on rumors. Recruiting 101...it's always a benefit to recruit as many top ranked players as you can and let the odds work in your favor.

He decommitted because he thinks CJ Leslie is going to NCSU and he didnt want to compete for playing time with CJ.

He is a big guy, but a lot of scouts say he would rather shoot 3s and be a PG then use his body down low.

Terrence Ross visiting Washington Monday, and says he's announcing Monday as well. Hmm...
