Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Joseph will be a good fit at Texas. Was never really big on Jai Lucas or Doug Balbay.
I predict Leslie and Jones will commit to NC State and Washington, respectively. Thought UK was in prime position to land one or the other but I believe that ship has sailed....pretty sure one of them would have already signed since Patterson, Cousins, and Orton are all staying in the draft."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppComment

Terrence Ross visiting Washington Monday, says on his Facebook that he's got a big surprise for the school he's visiting on Monday. Leads to speculation: Jones also committing maybe?Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Word on the street is that PF Luke Cothron is going to commit to Tony Barbee and Auburn.
This would be a massive pickup to along with SF Josh Langford.
Suddenly, Auburn looks like they could make some noise next year in the West.
Just need Texas G Varez Ward to transfer back home now. Hopefully.AUBURN TIGERS

Very Cool!
Looks like Gene Chizik and Tony Barbee are joining forces and the Auburn "Tiger Prowl" will expand to both Football and Basketball recruiting. Innovative thinking...I like it.
Auburn, Ala.--The Tiger Prowl, which attracted national attention last year with Auburn football assistant coaches visiting high schools across the state in limousines to promote their efforts to recruit top in-state prospects, is back and will start on Monday in south Alabama.
This year’s event will be expanded to include Auburn’s men’s and women’s basketball coaches in addition to members of Gene Chizik's football staff and will give Auburn fans opportunities to get involved starting on Monday night in Mobile.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. CDT at Lipscomb Field in Mobile fans can meet the coaches after the coaches make a tour of area high schools during the day.

Coaches are shown on last year's Tiger Prowl in Mobile.
On Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. fans can attend the event sponsored by Tigers Unlimited outside the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Montgomery at the Exchange Patio next to Tallapoosa Street.
On Wednesday, as the coaches head north, fans can attend the prowl event in Birmingham at a yet to be determined location that is also scheduled for 6-8 p.m.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Good for Auburn! SEC needs them to be good.....I remember the days of Chris Porter, Pat Burke, and crew....they were a great team. It's been too long since they've been a factor (2003 being the exception).
And Auburn fans are the best...went to the UK-Auburn football game this year and tailgated with many a Tiger fan. They were the friendliest fans I had ever met from another SEC school."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppComment

UW's scout.com site is saying Ross has not committed. Said they spoke to him at 10:30 last night and at that point, he had not committed anywhere yet. Hmm ...Comment

Hey ehh does UCONN have any chance at landing CJ Leslie or is it gonna be Kentucky or NC State? I know he visited UCONN this weekend and did not know if it was a enough to give the Huskies a decent chance.Comment
