I wasn't putting the blame all on him. I was just pointing out how little of an impact he has had on the Huskies' success under Romar.
One and done guys and guys who are close to NBA ready generally don't do much in college, though yes there are exceptions. I think it's the guys who aren't looking to leave early who are the ones that help a program grow the most.
UW's best players in recent history have been these guys: Roy, Robinson, Brockman, and Pondexter... They helped solidify the team and the program over multiple years... Just like Thomas and Gaddy are in the process of doing now.All ties severed...Comment

You made it sound like he doesn't win other than beating bad teams. That is untrue.
Being a good recruiter is much more important than being a good coach.He is the best recruiter no doubt. But you have to do a little bit more than just recruit to be the best College Basketball Coach around.
He's not even the best College coach in his own state.
Gary Williams can coach circles around Roy Williams, but Roy Williams always outrecruits Gary by a margin measurable in light years. Being the best coach is about more than recruiting, but recruiting is definitely items 1, 2, and 3 when it comes to determining the best coach.Comment

Not buying that one bit. People aren't fond of your coach. A coach that's only been at your school ONE season so far. The same coach that has put other schools in trouble as soon as he leaves. A coach that is doing Pete Carroll-like recruiting and getting away with it. And don't gimme that "you have no proof!!! Calipari was never found guilty!" BS. As we can see, Calipari's best trait is slithering out fast and clean. And having low people in high places (WWW). He showers himself well. Nice and clean. But the **** is still on the bottom of his shoe, so the stench is always there.
So, yeah, many people aren't fond of Calipari. You UK fans know this. You folks know the reason why Calipari is looked down upon.
Your problem is you're equating Calipari hate to Kentucky hate. Nobody is pissed at Kentucky. You may say that Calipari is Kentucky's coach, so we are hating on Kentucky, too. Trust me, nobody not a UK fan doesn't see it that way at all.
So, to justify going ape**** on anyone that makes even the slightest out-of-bounds comment about Calipari is just you being an overly homerific fan that is looking to grill into someone. Maybe because you know what you got and you're so paranoid, looking over your shoulders, that you gotta take your frustration out on someone? Or maybe your fanbase is so starved to be back on top, you don't want to hear anything bad? I have no recollection of Kentucky getting all kinds of hate when Tubby won you guys a title.
UK fans need to stop this all-out defensive thing you guys are on. Because if you don't, then it really will be more about Kentucky and not Calipari.Comment

I have said time and time again that if Calipari gets UK in trouble then I would be right with the rest of you. But don't talk to me like you know me. I couldn't care less if you or anyone else hates Calipari, UK or the state of Kentucky. You talk about about any of it and I will defend. You don't like it, well boo hoo. I hope it does turn in to hating UK as much as it is Calipari because that just means we are worth caring about again.
You throw out accusation after accusation about Cal and how he runs his programs yet you still don't have ANY PROOF WHATSOEVER and neither does the NCAA. Where are all the people talking about Calhoun and his program? Seems like in the past 12 months there are some violations going on there. What about Pitino? What about Roy Williams? You can say whatever it is you want about the preception of Calipari, but the TRUTH is he has a clean record. You can say he "knew" Camby was getting paid and you can say that he knew Rose was having someone else take his SAT. But the truth is, YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. You don't know if he knew. You don't know if he didn't.
Furthermore, you can take your high and mighty act somewhere else. UK fans bleed blue through and through. You attack us, our coach, our players or our state, you will find a UK fan right there to battle with you. Are we crazy and fanatical about mosty things UK, absolutely. So what? We stand by our own and until you can prove something to me, anything at all, I will continue to stand up for my team, my coach, my fans.
You say he is doing Pete Carroll like recruiting and getting away with it, yet you fail to see that every single person that knows Calipari, like him or hate him, knows the guy recruits LIKE NO OTHER. He is a player's coach. If you don't know that or believe that then you know nothing about what you say. Right now he is kicking the country's a** in recruiting and there isn't anything that's going to stop it. He doesn't need to cheat at UK (if he truly ever did before) because he is at....well you, only the winningess school in NCAA history.
Tubby won a title with Pitino's players and never got past the Elite 8, 10 years later. When Pitino was at UK, the hate was there. Had he stayed, and I know he regrets that he didn't, he would have had a dynasty. Tubby got there with that most boring brand of basketball and after winning the title in 1998 was rarely ever in contention after that. He wasn't recruiting the players at UK that he should have been recruiting. So was there much hate, probably not and why would there be? I would be all kinds of happy if I was a fan of an opposing school and UK had Tubby. I would know they would never be much of a threat. Sure 20 win seasons, but never in much contention beyond that.
Finally, we get defensive because of people like YOU. You spill out your hate for Calipari, UK, whatever (all the same with us) and then you expect us to just shut up and go sit in the corner. Ummm...NO. We have always and will always protect our players, our fan, our school and our state. You don't like it? Again, boo hoo and go cry me a river.#WeAreUKComment
