Really pathetic and sad. It's a shame that a 17 year old has to put up with that.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Would be interested to hear how what wildcatchild is wrong? I believe Calipari has the best record over a 4 years stretch than any other current Division 1 coach. Don't feel like looking it up but he has like 16 losses over the past 4 years combined. I guess I can see how that is so funny."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Doesn't matter if you don't have a championship to show for it. Would much rather had Bill Self, Coach K, or Roy Williams as the coach of my program over the last 5 years."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Gotta tip my cap to Coach Cal. He's obviously very good at recruiting, and pretty much needs to be considering the position he's in.
The thing is he should probably start thinking about assembling teams instead of high school all-star teams. A bunch of one and done players aren't going to win him a championship.
As far as Washington goes, I don't consider this a big loss for them. Romar still has the Huskies' program on the rise, and he's really only had a handful of big time recruits during his tenure. UW fans should be happy that Romar is there and likely to stay there. He is going to do more for the program than Terrence Jones ever would have.
UW fans remember what Spencer Hawes did for the program? Do you even remember that he played there??? The team wasn't very good with Hawes and didn't even make the post season that year. He was basically showcasing his skills for scouts, and had very little interest in being at college in the first place. Not saying Jones would have done the same, but let's just keep it all in perspective.Last edited by spit_bubble; 05-21-2010, 02:58 PM.All ties severed...Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
When your comparing coaches, give me the guy that has won a National Title over the guy that wins the recruiting title.
Plenty of teams have good seasons. Only one team has a great season and thats all Kentucky fans care about. Just ask Tubby Smith.
The shine of all those big time recruits will wear off quick if he doesn't win a National Title within the next few years."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

They're like the Florida State fans of the College Basketball board,"The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."
