It was the other way around Cal called Jones. One of the Seattle sports writer was there and even wrote it down on his blog. Where are u getting the idea Jones called Cal. Also about Jones quoting what Cal told him is obviously giving him a guilt trip. It was an emotional day for a 17 year old kid why would Cal want to butt in like that? As much as u love your UK wildcats and me rooting for my UW Huskies that is low and dirty. U and I both know it. Everyone else not part of UK or Husky nation knows it too. Why would anyone want to put a guilt trip on a 17-18 year old. I completely lost respect for Calipari. He is what I call a cockblocker.

All reports say that Terrence Jones called Cal after he announced. And nobody quoted anything that Cal told him, so I don't know where you're getting that from. It helps to read through the thread before commenting on stuff.

Whether Jones called Cal or the other way around is irrelevant. Calipari should have just respected Jones' decision and just let him be. Instead, there's somehow a 15 minute conversation. Now, there's no way that it took him 15 minutes to congratulate Terrence on his decision, is there? I never really had that big of a problem with Calipari before, but this is ridiculous. I don't see how anyone could possibly spin this into Cal being 'innocent'. My assumption is that Cal did his best to guilt trip him into rethinking everything.

It sounds like this kid is unsure himself, and hasn't really made up his mind yet. From the other articles I've read it also sounds like it's between UW and UK. Coach Cal is just doing his job.

What report? The Seattletimes sportswriter and an Oregon newspaper said Calipari called him. Why don't u give me a link?

I can't find it, but I know that I (and PhantomPain as well) read it. Perhaps I shouldn't of said "all" but rather "some". Still, you're just making up stuff about what Cal said. Nothing has been reported of what Cal said, it was all Jones. You're assuming based on your opinion of the guy.

It came from Terrence Jones' mouth. If u stop being a homer and wake up and smell the roses u would know the truth. Everybody outside of the UK fanbase knows the truth.

This is where you are WRONG. If you read what it says, it says in the sentence prior to that quote:

Kentucky coach John Calipari called Jones after his announcement and Jones was on the phone for a very long time. About 15 minutes. Reading body language, Jones seemed pained.(incorrectly reported, Jones called Cal)

but in the next sentence the article says:

He told me, "You hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy."

So if you comprehend this correctly you will see the reporter says in the last part of the first sentence that "Jones seemed pained" and then in the next sentence it says "he told me, "you hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy." This is JONES TALKING TO THE REPORTER, not Jones telling the reporter what was said by Calipari. If it was it would have read "Jones said, "he said to me, you hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy."

The context of the article was how pained Jones looked and then said to the reporter ("me" in this case is the reporter).

Jones will be asked about this when this is all over and he will clarify. I know everyone hates Calipari and that's fine. But at least be informed about why you hate him. An article written in a way that is slightly deceiving, which is the media's M.O. in many cases, should not be the reason since it wasn't a quote from Jones about what Calipari said but a quote from Jones as to what he said to the reporter.
