This is fine but....the thing is that CAP does exist in this game...but only for one mode. Saving custom rosters without having to upload and download each time is in the game....until you get the patch. Same with defensive options and a few other things.

THEY TOOK THINGS THAT WERE IN THIS GAME ALREADY. That is ****ing low and they should be taken to task for it. No offense but people with their "hey guys, this is normal for next gen and it will be back next year" is why they think they can get away with this ****.

You misunderstood my post. I think it's straight BS that all these features were removed, but I'm just to the point that I accept it and take my money elsewhere. I have XB1 preordered, but I may cancel it because these games are incomplete from my point of view.

For instance, Madden had improved gameplay, but lacks NG graphical capacity. NBA2k NG graphics as expected, but lacks CG features. These companies have come to point that they feel they can do whatever they want and we will buy regardless, almost like little trained lab rats. It's business I get it, I don't like it and I just move on.

Come'on yall, what 2K wanted to do this year is introduce the new modes. They didn't have time to add everything this year, im sure they'll add most of the things that didn't make it in this year back in future iterations.

I swear, people can't be happy, perhaps 2K should have pulled a Madden just ported over everything from current gen, yall would complain then too! 2K is one of the few companies that took next-gen seriously and wanted to blow people way with their debut next-gen title. I appreciate them just off pure effort you can see that they put a lot of hard work in this game and I can't hate on that.

Adding new modes is fine, but I the problem is they removed modes and functionality that was already there on current gen.

Personally, I would havee been happier with a current gen port-up with next-gen graphics.

That actually would have been better. I'd be playing Association mode right now, instead of listing my PS4 and copy of 2K14 for sale on Ebay.

Why exactly does 2K (and other companies) feel the need that you need to be connected to their servers?

Is this to prevent cheating or this this because they are using cloud storage and this is the future or why?

probably cheating. if you want to see a broken game mode, try playing vs a 10 foot Allen Iverson in Crew mode (was in the great NBA 2K11). My player cheating hasn't been a problem since VC was introduced.

A quick question: as it stands now, is it no longer possible to fill out the rest of the classic rosters with created versions of the real players (i.e. replace generic David Jones with Mike Smrek)? If so, would that also mean creating different classic teams from scratch would no longer be possible either?

Im a my Career player mostly so 2k14 is great to me

I always found the association mode to be a waste of space to be honest but they should have left the option for those that like it

The only thing My GM is missing is a kid who get MJ's basketball skill by finding a pair of magical Jordans and then getting signed by a NBA team and leading them to a championship.

I keep hearing how we are supposed to have lowered expectations and I want to know why? This is not 2K Sports first attempt at making an NBA video game, it is just their first attempt on NG systems. I am sure that 2K sports has employees that they pay who are knowledgable in making these games, so I don't see why I have to curb my expectations. In October this same company released a great game in the form of the CG NBA 2K14. Yet in the NG NBA 2K14 there are very simple things that are flat out wrong, and when you take the time to see how many simple things are wrong with the NG version of the game it is reasonable for people to have "gripes". I don't expect or demand perfection, but some of the mistakes are flat-out sloppy. For the record this is not my first console launch, not even close.

Then keep playing current gen? You basically have 2 different games.

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I much prefer the system where being connected online provided perks that required an online connection (online play, 2K Share, leaderboards, NBA Today) but did not limit or remove content that should only need an offline connection (Association, MyPlayer, any and everything else).

I really would just prefer to know that the only thing I need to enjoy offline facets of the game I purchased is an electrical source and a television. Companies forcing modes online that truly do not need to be (or designing these modes so they need to be) ruffles my feathers a bit. It's like imagining if our toasters only functioned with an online connection because Cuisinart claimed they need to be able to access our toasting tendencies in order to provide us the full toasting experience.

Someone please help me. So, when I first started playing NBA 2K14 I made an offline MyCareer but then I decided t just give up and do what I always do and buy VC (don't ask I just find it a more fun way to play). So i created a new MyCareer and played the Rookie Showcase, got drafted, then I bought about 250k VC ($60) and spent it on upgrading my players attributes animations and signature skills. So, after i played the first 2 games I wanted to play a different game so i exited MyCareer and it saved. So when i went back to play MyCareer it shows the loading screen and then it crashes and says Error CE-34878-0. So now every time I try and open MyCareer it crashes but I loaded up my offline MyCareer and it loaded and worked fine. I wouldn't be some mad if I didnt spend all my VC! Sometimes, it will go to the "Heading to the Arena" but once I try and move to the next part it crashes. The one time it did work was last night. It let me play 2 games and a couple of cut scenes but crashed after the cut scene. PLZ SOMEONE HELP.... anyone else had this problem?

I have to say that 2K14 is a major letdown when it comes to modes not named MYPlayer. MyGM is nothing but one team association with dialogue between a person making decisions.

I want more control over what other teams do and their lineups. The dreaded sixth man (Ginoboli and Terry) crap has already started after the first month just like Association. The logic is still the same and I question what was actually worked on other than adding text to Association mode.

I seem to be in the minority. I have absolutely no problem with the changes they've made.

For me, I'm glad they changed things around for MyGM. For me, Association mode was getting really boring the past few years. I'm really liking MyGM right now.

Did they take out Create a Team too? And that BS Path to Greatness thing is still there instead of CAL, right? Man, 2K should really consider hiring some fans as advisors.
