And now I'm back to not being able to DL a roster again. So it apparently works until around 1 PM CST when people start playing and then it craps out. Not having local rosters saves is a really stupid decision.

Edit: so I let it go for a while and it loaded the roster after 8 minutes. Seriously? Wtf

so before, the complaint was "Association doesn't get any attention" and now it's "Association got too much attention, should've left it alone." smh. Damn'd if you do...

I might actually touch Association this yr for once. It was getting old and stale and the depth of myGM is a welcome addition imo

I think it's more a micro-transaction problem for me...and SERVERS uhhh, I'm fine with the new mode but charging for rotation adjustment etc. is pretty Farmville...and LAME. Also tying it to micro-transactions means that people are left to the mercy of their servers, I have the glitch where my PSN name from PS3 won't connect to the servers so unless I start a whole new PSN name and lose all my trophys I can't even see half the MyPlayer menus, I didn't even know their were tattoos until I just started a new PSN name just to see if it works, and it did work which is why I know what the menus 'actually' look like...I am torn because there is little competition (I am getting Live JUST to play with friends online even though the gameplay is inferior it will at least PLAY when my fam want to game on the net) and I do believe 2K looks amazing and plays AMAZING gameplay wise but paying $60 so far to JUST play Quick games is a bit lame as I was pretty excited for all the modes or to at least TRY them out.

So I thought I figured out a way to adjust rotations for non user controlled teams in the single season version of My GM only to discover that the game resets the rotations when you play a game. This was the one thing that was going to allow me to attempt a season and now...

Ok I have read thru Numerous NEXT GEN threads and i want to get some Clarification as i have seen different answers?

1. We can't save ANYTHING to the Hard Drive?

2. You HAVE to be connected to be able to play ANYTHING besides QUICK PLAY MATCH?

3. We have NO CAP system EXCEPT for My Player?

4. No changing of Appearance INCLUDING skin color in Draft Classes?

5. The CPU Logic is STILL Broke in MYGM(Association)?

6. You have to Uploaded and Download from 2k Severs to be able to Edit your OWN Roster?

7. CAT feature was removed all together?

8. 2k Rosters we have to use since no CAP option are STILL WAY Outdated with Missing Players?

MAJOR dropping of the ball here. I dont care if it is 1st NG release, it ISNT 1st Basketball Game release. There are Certain BASICs in a Basketball game. Just wanted to make sure the things I had stated above were correct. No NG for me until at least 2k15 and NOT at ALL IF they dont fix the Basic issues instead of ADDING "MY Cheerleading Mode"

Wow, i haven't played 2k since I don't even remember (early 360 days maybe lol) and I didn't even know they had done all that. I recall them adding internet requirements but to me that's just ridiculous... It's a basketball game, most players IMO would be playing single player, so why take away those abilities without an internet connection. I really wanted to pick this up because the visuals and supposedly the gameplay are top notch but with all of that being the case, I'll pass. Never really liked an online requirement to play solo games like I normally do with sports games. Thanks for that info

I had planned on getting this for Christmas. But I only play CPU vs CPU/ Coach mode in seasons using custom retro rosters. I am well aware I am in a small minority, but it looks like I can't do ANY of those things with NG. I was not expecting a lot of additions for NG, but assumed they would AT LEAST keep the basic functions of CG. Sounds like its a great ARCADE game...and that's it.

I know this will never happen...(well maybe when 2k15 comes out).. But it would have been nice if 2k simply said.."Look we weren't able to put these other features in and here's why.... From a marketing standpoint it makes sense they would keep quiet about it. Had they announced all this ahead of time they may have lost sales. My gut feeling is that they kept features out so that next year when the NextGen consoles are in full swing, they can say "this year you can create players! We have 30 team controlled association! And.....You can even save custom rosters on your hard drive offline!

Not gonna lie but outside of on court gameplay this game is pretty much bad in everyway in my opinion... I have so many questions to why so many options that we loved were taken out of the game...I feel like I can't do anything easily everything is more complicated then it should be I mean what is 2k thinking.

I was hoping next gen would be making what's good In current gen even better but so far I'm not seeing it. I hope 2k can patch more options in mygm and season mode...and make editing/saving rosters like it use to be on current gen. Until then I can't enjoy this game.

This is why I'm not even bothering with next gen No cap, no association. All I do is create myself and my friends and play association mode. If i cant even do that then I'm not even gonna purchase the game as simple as that.

Has anyone figured out how to do random teams in quick play!? How could this be left out??

2K dropped the ball with the lack of editing in the Create a Player. Some of the immersion is lost imo.

I sure hope the Devs are reading what the fan base want. With everything being saved to an online server it should be easy for them to implement some of these changes without us having to wait for an NBA 2k15

Did they take out Create a Team too? And that BS Path to Greatness thing is still there instead of CAL, right? Man, 2K should really consider hiring some fans as advisors.

From what I've gathered, everything you mentioned is no longer present on next generation NBA 2K.

and agreed on the menus! They are horrible. Even the little things like when pausing the game and you can get the quarter by quarter breakdown of how many points the team scores. For some reason 2K decided that this was pointless so instead they decide to bury it under layers and layers of screens just to check how many points your team scores each quarter. Boggles my mind...
